" It's fine. It sort of reminds me of my college days. I usually have music on anyway when I'm working since it helps me focus on what I'm doing. " Andrea said as they got closer. She was sort of nervous about working with Mr. Stark and hoped they at least could tolerate each other. Though she hooped he didn't remember her from her days as an intern at the New York offices.

Natasha listened closely and wasn't surprised to hear the name of the new group that was giving SHIELD trouble. " What sort of information did Ms.Carpenter find?" She asked having a feeling it had to do with the other rumors that had been floating around the internee lately.

(I know what you mean. Though I can only remember Fitz and Skye name wise, unless Melinda is "The Cavalry")

"Then this must be something of the new generation that I just don't get, nor ever I think," Steve muttered before getting Tony's attention in the lab. True it didn't always work, but nine times out of ten, going through the "Jarvis" program he always had with him. "Jarvis, alert Stark that his partner is here," he said.

"The same information that has Tony Stark scratching his head, if rumors are to believed, but they never told me exactly what it was. All my orders were were to kill Andrea Carpenter," Leana replied calmly.

( I think so. Going to watch it again later. I'm glad it's still on the air after two episodes. )


" Sir. Captain Rogers and Ms. Carpenter are here. "JARVIS said over the music , while Andrea wondered how this whole thing was going to work out. She had her computer bag with her but what she had with her wasn't even close to the tech Tony Stark had available.


" But you didn't kill her. Was it because Captain Rogers was there or did you just change your mind?" Clint asked having the feeling both factors were the reason why. He knew The Rising Tide would consider Leana a target and send someone else to kill Andrea Carpenter.

(Yeah, unlike that one show about a NJ Lawyer...)

Tony nodded as he picked up the remote he had next to him and pressed the pause button before using another button on a different remote to open the door remotely for the two to enter. "Cap, what's the reason for you entering my humble abode?" he asked with a smirk on his face. "And Ms. Carpenter, always a pleasure," he added.

"It was more because of Captain Rogers being there then anything else," Leana admitted. "Though if Andrea is forced to go outside for anything, or myself if it's permitted, we should probably go with an escort," she suggested, especially since she knew that she was now a target...and so was Andrea still.

( for some reason that show did look good. Sorry about taking a long time to post lately. Started classes again and have been busy. Only 9 more weeks till I graduate college! It's scary and exciting all at once.)

" Likewise Mr. Stark." Andrea said with a smile wondering if Mr. Stark had found anything out about the message she had found, but figured he would have said something if he had." I have a zip drive and Hard drive that has what I saved from my browsing session. " She said hoping that information would help a little bit.


" We'll make sure you both have an escort when you go places." Natasha said glad that this was going well.She knew Fury would want this report as soon as she had time to write it ."I think that's all the questions we have. Clint, how about you?" Natasha said after thinking a while.

"That's all the questions I have for her also. Though I am curious as to what she can do..." Clint responded. "You think we can deck her out and go all out in our 'danger room'?" He asked. "Though I wonder what's going on with the Captain and Andrea," he thought out loud.

" I think we can. How does that sound Leana ?" Natasha said with a slight grin. She did want to see what sort of skills Leana had and would teach her more things as needed.

"I'm interested," Leana replied with a light grin on her face.

" Then follow us. " Natasha said and headed toward the armory. She also wondered how things were going with Steve and Andrea and hoped that Stark wasn't being to much of a pain .

Leana was surprised that they would be doing this for her so quickly, but didn't say anything about it as she just followed the two of them. Seeing Tony and Andrea working together as they walked towards the Armory, she rose an eyebrow, surprised that the eccentric genius was already willing to work with the girl.

" I don't think this message was sent from Earth. These codes don't look like ones I've seen before. " Andrea said hoping Tony had an idea where these symbols came from. To her , they sort of looked like Japanese but they were more like the lettering from a sci fi movie.

"That's because it isn't from this world," Tony said. It was a mixture of symbols and one would think it was kanji from Japan, but it was actually something else altogether. "It's more like Asgardian," he admitted, but of course he didn't know the language and Thor wasn't around to translate it.

" Is It possible the artifact is from Asgard? If so, how did it get on Earth? " Andrea said thinking out loud. That tended to be a bad habit that she had but felt she was able to think things through better if she did think things out loud.

"It's possible, but it could also be from any other world that we don't know about," Tony admitted.

" Should we try to decode this message ? I have a feeling if we do we might get the answers we are looking for. " Andrea said and wondered if that was the right method of approaching this. " Why do I have the feeling this artifact is going to cause more harm than good?" Andrea thought and hoped it wasn't because of the ability she might have.

"We can try, but I'm not sure if our translation will be accurate or not. Tapping on a few screens, he then turned to the girl that was in the room with him. "Andrea?" Tony asked, curious as to what was going through her mind as he saw her lost in thought.

" Sorry about that. I tend to get lost in my thoughts more than I usually do these days. " Andrea said and figured it would be best to tell both Tony and Steve what was really bothering her. " The truth is I have a bad feeling about both the message and the artifact. " She said and would explain why she felt something bad could happen.

Tony shook his head lightly, knowing what it was like to be lost in thought. "A bad feeling? Like Loki/end of the world bad, or something else?" Tony asked.

" A little bit of both. I just feel that this all has been too easy from the start. " Andrea said and shuddered at thought of The Rising a Tide. They had once tried to recruit her but Andrea had declined , since she avoided groups that intentionally hacked to cause trouble for others. " I'm also worried that I might have inherited a strange ability from my mom. " She said hoping she had done the right thing by saying something.

"A strange ability? Like something that Logan would have?" he asked. He had worked with the "Wolverine" before in the past, but only for a few days. Then again, the man did have a potential to irk the hell out of him. He wondered if any of the groups they've been hearing about recently had an interest in her or not...

" I don't really know. Mom only told me a few times about her powers and I got the feeling she didn't want to be asked about them." Andrea said and wondered if her mom was a mutant. She knew that would explain quite a bit about the some of the people who came to visit them when she was growing up.

"I could talk to a friend of mine, see if he's willing to see what your power is, if anything" Tony replied, shrugging lightly. It was up to her if she wanted to know or not, but that was it.

" I would appreciate that please. " Andrea said hoping there was a reason she had these feelings.She did wonder how things would change when she found out about her powers.

"Alright then, I'll set things up with Charles," he said. It would also be a good distraction from all this work.

" You doing alright?" Natasha asked Leana once their training was over. She hoped that they hadn't been too rough on her but they had wanted to see what Leana was capable of.
