"Gah! Sa-kur-a...can't...breathe!" Naruto got out. He thought she was just going to punch him like normal...

"Stop you're attracting more attention." a new voice said seeing that they were Sakura dropped Naruto with a nervous chuckle.

"Ugh..." Naruto said for a few moments as precious air came back into his lungs. Though he was curious as to who this new person was...

"my names kabuto." he said with a smile

Naruto didn't know why, but he had the feeling that he couldn't trust this person. Maybe it was because of the way he just casually entered into the conversation, or for some other reason...but no matter what the reason was, he couldn't trust this 'Kabuto' person.

Kabuto went about explaining his cards.

Naruto listened to Kabuto explain about the nin cards that he held.

"Do you have one about the sand ninja?" Sasuke asked

"The sand ninja...hm," Kabuto said as he placed chakra on the card. "Genin from Suna...interesting," he said as he looked at the card before placing two more cards down next to him and placing chakra into the other two. "We have a Genin team that are siblings...first time I've seen that."

Sakura watched over Naruto's shoulder curious jumping when the teacher entered and told them to sit.

Sasuke tsked. 'All we learned were that they were siblings' he thought before taking his assigned seat.

Sakura sat down relaxing when she realized it would be a written test she would pass it no problem but Naruto on the other had wouldn't get one answer right.

'Oh crap, oh crap, oh crap!' Naruto thought as he saw the paper test in front of him.

One complicated set of rules later they were ready to begin Sakura got to work. While Sasuke figured out you where suppose to cheat but not get caught.

Naruto was very glad that he had the Kage Bunshin after he realized what the real purpose of the exam was. Sure he was going to be losing two points for it, but it would allow him to keep him and his team in the Exams. Quickly using a Kage Bunshin, he made it dispel...while the smoke was going through the room, he quickly changed papers with the person behind him, erased his name and put his on instead. 'It's luck that I don't put my name on until just before handing it in...' the jinchuuriki thought to himself with a small grin on his face as the smoke faded away. Whether other people thought of using the smoke as a cover he didn't know, nor care.

((poor naruto he's so stupid in the show he never figured it out. *shakes head* and we all thought Sakura was dumb.))

Once the test was over he asked if anyone would like to leave and made it seem like it was the better idea to leave then stay.

Naruto watched as several others exam takers rose their hand to quit, which he found to be bullshit. Just because they were afraid of the unknown, they were chickening out. Not him...he wouldn't do it.

Sakura glanced at Naruto there was no way he would pass it would be better to quiet and try again later she slowly started raising her hand.

Naruto saw Sakura about to quit for her team and scowled lightly, Ibuki's threat not effecting him. "You really think I care if I'm a Genin forever? Even if that happens, I'll find a way to accomplish my goal. I'll be the first Hokage to go from Genin to Hokage!" he shouted.

Sakura smiled at Naruto's bravery then blinked in shock when the guy told them they had past just like that.

"W-we pass?" a girl with four blonde ponytails asked, confused. How did they pass just by staying?

He explained and as he was finishing Anko crashed threw the window to announce the next part.

"You're early Anko-chan," Ibiki said.

"Really?" Anko said "Oh well maybe if you didn't take so long. Lets go kids I'll meet you and the forest of death." she vanished.

"The Forest of Death?" Several people asked, curious as to what they meant. Sure, spies for the various villages have heard about it, but they didn't know where it exactly was.
