@Elysium: I'd like to request you take a picture of yourself in a different dress each day for next month and get back to me when that's done. I feel like I need proof of it and your god damned walk in closet. I'm too poor for one nor do I need one. Who needs a walk-in closet?
Heathen! You've never seen The Matrix! *takes away half of all earned respect points and throws them in the trash*
Hey the Matrix movies were good but overrated because everyone tried to perform those moves after they saw that movie. Trust me I had friends who tried to do it. Still overall good movie series.
The Matrix movies always seemed overrated to me too, I'm sorry. I'll watch at least the first one at some point when I have nothing better left to do.
@Cole: I need a walk-in closet. I specifically live in this room because of the size of the closet. Seriously. It's the biggest one in the house. And, lol, no. I'm not taking a picture of myself every day for a month. You'll just have to trust I have 31 dresses. Honestly, now I want to go count them.
Usually I find pants less comfortable than dresses and skirts. I admit sometimes dresses can be hard to walk in, though.
I honestly don't really wear heels anymore myself. Used to wear the stilettos but they are so painful even after five steps that I just don't wear them anymore.
Eh to each their own, dresses aren't bad to wear and can be comfy. As for high heels I could never walk in those and stilletos are the worse on your feet or so i've been told.
Why do I have to do an extra step tomorrow for my housing? It's already confirmed, room selection is set, and I get an email that ...

A waitlist for an assignment for a building that i'm confirmed to have a room for?
I'm thinking it was just sent out as a general mailing reminder and that it doesn't apply to me. I'm thinking that's the case here. It's still rather weird though and confuses the living shit out of me.
I'm not going to worry too much about it but i'll definitely check tomorrow.
Probably. Or your e-mail accidentally got put on the list. Just make sure some idiot didn't screw you over and don't worry about it otherwise.
It's been good. My presentation went well. I looked over the grader's shoulder and I think I got an A on it. I also had a workshop critique for some of my writing and everyone loved my story and I wasn't expecting that so it was a good surprise.
Should be fine. I hope. I don't need this stress about housing right now.
Critiques are always fun. Always nice to get other like minded peoples opinions on your work. It might suck and others might not understand your intention but it's needed. Any chance I can read this story though? Or you want to summarize it for me? I'm interested, miss writer lady.
I'm sure. There are a million other things to worry about now for anybody in college.
They actually understood my intent and loved my characters and style. I was so glad because I've not written a story in years until I got into this creative writing course.
I would let you read it, but I want to fix the issues with it before I let someone read it again. In summary, however, it's about a man who's been hurt by women in every way possible. He's just come off of a bad relationship where his girlfriend cheated on him with his fraternal twin brother. He sees a gorgeous artist type woman sitting on the edge of a fountain next to a cafe in a courthouse pavilion. He becomes entranced with her and decides "Wtf" and goes up and asks her for a date. Turns out she's there at the courthouse getting a divorce from her inattentive ex husband. She initially turns him down but eventually they end up dating. At one point they meet his ex. It's an awkward situation, and the main character (Alexander) refuses to tell Alanna (his new girlfriend) what went down. They end up breaking up after a few months because Alex can't bring himself to trust Alanna enough to tell her what his ex did even though Alanna has told him what her ex husband did to her. At the end of the story a year has passed, Alanna sees him sitting at a cafe and the story ends with her saying hello to Alex again.
Yep, lots more to worry about. Really worried about my Film History presentation next week aka my film final for class.
Oh, i'd so totally read that story. Seems kind of cliche at the start of what you're saying it begins but it gets better and seems more closer to home and less over dramatic than what I see in most book stories. Can I ask how many pages the story is? Is it considered a short story?
You have talent. Writing talent. Story talent. Nice to know. You could be useful to me in the future. :)
You'll do well. Have you been practicing and preparing for it?
It's a lot less cliche sounding when you read it. Alanna is a very interesting character and doesn't immediately like Alexander. She doesn't just jump on him despite the fact that he looks like a model and is a lawyer. She has backbone. Then she never does think he's perfect. The story strives to see whether two equally broken people can love each other.
It's a short story. Had to be because of the class requirement, but it could easily be a novella or novel. Right now it's 20 pages, but will probably be around 23 by the time it's done because I was asked to add one more scene.
It's actually a powerpoint presentation and we're not working on it tomorrow. I have my part researched as well as the annotated bib done for the sources so i'm good.
I'd really love to read that story. I really really would. Put me on the list of people who want to read your story from start to finish. Does it have a title at all?
