Happy late birthday Ely i'm so behind on game of thrones, I was watching the most recent episode last night and my computer shut off on me.

I haven't even watched. I love the books, and I'm afraid to watch the show because I'm afraid I will be too book-loyal and nit-picky.

I haven't really hear any GoT book lovers bitching about the series. It seems to be holding to their expectations.

Hmm. Well, Saro wants to watch it because he apparently can't get past the beginning of the first book. So I might wind up watching it, but probably not on purpose. O_o

Usually I'm a book reader, but I've actually heard of some things that make me not want to read the series. *shrugs* Besides the fact that the books are so long. It's too much of a time commitment for me.

Since I've seen the whole series, too, I don't want to read the books because I know everything that's happened.

Really? Like differences between the two and you like the show better? Cause that's totally understandable. Or things that happen in the books that they cut out in the show, or the age difference thing (which is also completely understandable lol)? I don't know much about the show honestly because I stayed so far away from anything concerning it because I was terrified of spoiling something while I was reading the books. And I mostly still am staying away from it.

Yeah, differences between the two that make me like the show better. There are some characters that got killed in the show that were not killed in the books, and quite honestly I'm happy they're dead.

I'm kinda staying away from the books because I don't want to spoil future seasons of the show, as well.

Yeah i'm only on the second book right now and on the fourth season for the series, I haven't seen any problems with the series and books.

Ah well she was just a pawn, I didn't dislike her that much. I mean, there's so many worse characters.
I don't remember her being preggers in the book, but I may have forgot. Sometimes in longer books I need to read them a couple times.

There are a few characters that are different between the books and show, too. I've heard Robb is a much bigger character in the show than he is in the books. I'm not interested in reading the books if he's a lesser character, honestly.

Well I don't know how big a character he is in the show.

I think Jon Snow has the biggest role of Ned's kids in the books (so far) but they all get time in the books, like it focuses on all of them. And I don't particularly like Jon Snow. He certainly isn't my favorite. Of the Starks, I think I like Bran the best, but I like Arya too.

My favorite characters are Dany, Margaery Tyrell, and the Lannisters (specifically Tyrion, but I find myself liking Jamie a lot in the more recent books).

He (Jon Snow) hasn't had a huge role in the series yet (at least IMO). The show has focused mainly on the Lanisters (especially recently because Robb and Catelyn are dead and Joffrey just got killed). The Starks have a big role of course, but Jon Snow has been the least of our worries. The stuff with the Wall is starting to hit the fan, though, so he's getting a bigger role.

Yeah I'm glad hes finally getting a bigger part in the show to, Littlefinger is crazy I just can't believe what he did actually yes I can thats so typical of him to do this show keeps getting crazier and crazier all the time. Nice avi Ely.

I know Sansa is getting the worse of all of this, first she married tyrion, then shes supposed to marry her cousin, and now littlefingers hitting on her. Shes gone through alot since the death of her dad.

She's going to end up married to Littlefinger if something doesn't happen to get her out from under him soon. I'm suspecting that something is going to be Arya and the Hound but I could be wrong.

LittleFinger is now awesome due to killing Lysa. Never had I ever felt like he was redeemed until then.
