To add my two cents on the current discussion, I love secondhand/thrift stores. I can walk in and buy myself a whole seasonal wardrobe for like thirty bucks. Then I can look fabulous and still eat food while going to college. A-maz-ing!

There's a thrift store I always pass, but I have never entered...I think I'll need to change that!

The kiddos are 2, 4, 5 (plus my bio nieces who are 6 and 9) but I just decided I'm gonna get thrift store stuffed animals. Wash and disinfect em and no one will ever know.

A good thing happened. Ordered a present for my nana and they sent me the wrong thing, so they said I could keep it free of charge so I can give it to my aunt instead. Yay free! \o/

Anybody hear about the freegans? They pretty much try to live off of what gets thrown out. It sounds cool, but I think it must be a difficult way to live.

It's like dumpster diving but more intense. There are a lot of freegans in New York.
