Ah, yeah. I've never had my own PC actually, I've always gotten laptops.

PC's have their fair uses I suppose, but laptops are more practical for me.

Yeah, ind never owned my own Mac before. I started working with them at work and I'm totally converted from Windows now. Especially given that bullshit they're doing with Windows 8.

I'm not fond of Macs, 'cause I game. :c

Ah yeah. I really only place console games so it's not really a problem for me. My fiance has a PC for his gaming needs but mostly uses his Mac on a daily basis.

I'm not converting to Windows 8, I'm happy with my 7. >.<

Almost all new computers now come with windows 8.

Oh I know. But my computer isn't "new" anymore.
Although, it did come with both Window 7 and 8 disks.

I think the idea of Windows 8 works well for tablets but in a computer I really only want to use my desktop. I don't want to have to deal with the rest of the BS in between.

I think Windows 8 was created on a tablet. So it's not surprising, really.
But who knows. I'm satisfied with 7, so that's good enough for me.

Yeah. For a while I was thinking about getting the Surface but I felt like it would really just end up being super frustrating. It's cool that you can draw with it but I don't think that would outweigh the annoyiness.

I associate tablets with artsy people or techgeeks. Not sure if that's a term, but whatever. lol. I hope you understand what I'm trying to say. >.<

I usually call him a tech nerd. It used to be worse when he was doing tech journalism. Now he's mostly writing about finance so we're not getting like hundreds of new review units all the time.
