Good evening everyone.
I'm not very friendly with my alarm clock, we have a love hate relationship.
It loves to wake me up & I hate to hear it.
Actually I have one alarm clock that is annoying, but it has been very trusty over the years. I have had it for at least 20 years.
It looks like a cat & does sort of a trumpet revelry type of thing & keeps saying "Get UP!! Get UP!!"
I have to say the clock is sort of a cute black & white kitty.

I used to have a Lion King one when I was a little kid that would play The Circle of Life to wake me up. I really came to hate it after a while. V_V

Heh. Both sound like better alarm clocks than the buzzing and incessant tone of mine. Maybe if I get a cute one, I'd be less grumpy towards it. One that makes me tea and toast.

Aw man! That sucks! >.< You're a better person than I. I probably would have left them on specially after staying 2 hours late! Does that happen often?

Damia - That sounds like a fun alarm clock! I wonder if I'd wake up easier with a nicer sound.
Zig - ACK! That would bug the crap outta me >.< Not my favorite song lol
Every night?? jeez you work hard!!
Woody - That last option might be a little expensive XD

The tea and toast option? Maaaan. That'd be awesome though.
All next week I get to drag my butt out of bed (and not even my own bed ) at 5 am. Uh. I'm nannying and house sitting while their parents are out in Puerto Rico.

Isn't that horrible? I have to get their kids up, and drive one of them to his private school 40 minutes away. *groans* There's only one thing worse than mornings. Early mornings.

...i used to have to ride the buss for two hours to get to school. so we had to get up at four in the morning, stumble down stairs after getting dressed and eat breakfeast, then trundel to the end of the mile long driveway to await our bus no matter what the weather was. then we'd get picked up and i'd go back to sleep onthe buss haha.

Carn ~ the only problem with that alarm clock is that it doesn't have a snooze bar. If you cut if off then its off & you better get you tail up. I have been known to cut it off while asleep & not remember doing it so I have another clock set across the room. It is the annoying buzzing clock radio.
I hated having to get up early to catch the bus. My mom used to have to drive us about 10 minutes away to some in-laws of her sister to have us catch the bus. My aunt lived in a section where none of the school buses went & she was in a different school district than us. My parents hated the school where we lived so they had to get permission for us to go to the other school district. The place where we all had to catch the school bus at was alright. At least most of the time the lady was at home & would let all of us kids in to watch cartoons until the school bus got there. There were normally 7 of us catching the bus there, including her grandchildren. It was only really bad when she wasn't home & it was raining or bad weather. She had a covered porch, but imagine trying to get 7 kids under there.
Then in the afternoons we had to walk to my aunts house to wait on my mom to pick us up.
That school sent buses out twice in the morning & the afternoons. We were the first load to be picked up which was usually around 6:30 am & then the last load of kids to get dropped off which was normally sometime after 4 pm.
I can't imagine kids having to be at 4 or 5 am to catch a bus. That is crazy.

lets just say i spent most of my elementry school year half asleep 'grumbles' by the time the last few lessons of the day rolled around i was so tired i could barely focus.. but my afternoon bus driver was nice. if i fell asleep onthe bus she'd jsut rake me up at my stop with my nephews, neice and brotehr. 'happy smiele' wasn't to bad. i was normally the first one picked up that early so yeah got to sleep until we picked up th eother kids a half hour later. so when kids used to complain in high school about getting up at six or seven o clock i used to just stare at htem like they was nuts cause to me they was.

It's good you had a nice bus driver. The first 2 bus drivers I remember where guys in high school. I don't remember much about the first one other than his name, I was in kindergarten at the time. The second one I knew because his dad was the preacher at the church we attended & his youngest brother was the same age as me. Then by the time we got the 3rd bus driver I have to say things went down hill. She was just a very odd woman & I don't really think she needed to be driving a bus. She was alright at the beginning then, but it wasn't long before she would pull the bus off the road if she thought we were getting to loud or something. I remember her doing this a lot by the time I was in 7th & 8th grade. Sometimes she would leave us sitting there for 30 minutes up to an hour in the heat & no one was talking. I really think she was starting to lose her mind or something, because each year got progressively worse with her driving the bus.

Yep, Friday now. I'm planning on banging out my work right away and maybe I'll have time to relax a bit at the end of the day and go home on time. It's doubtful but that tiny hope will get me through the day. ^^;
Ah bus talk. V_V
When I was very little, my mom would drive me down to my aunt's house. She lived in town not far from the school and I would walk there with my two cousins.
When I got a bit older, then I started going down to my grandma's house who also lived in town not too far away from the school. She would usually drive me there anyway though.
And then when I got in high school I was finally allowed to start taking the bus. It was a real pain in the ass though. I was the first stop so I rode on the bus for an hour every morning. And on the way home, I was the last stop. So I rode another hour. V_V I hear at a lot of schools they do the trip backwards in the evening so that those who are the first stop in the morning are the first to go home in the evening, but my school wouldn't do that for insurance reasons. I remember being the only kid on the bus once when we got stuck in the snow. I had to sit there all alone for 30 minutes until some guy with a tractor came and pulled us out. ^^;
Also, I'm loving all the hummy cosplays I'm seeing! Makes me want to dress up as hummy as well. She definitely has her own particular tealy style doesn't she! <3

Star ~ if she had those issues she probably should not of been driving a bus. She drove for at least 10 years that I know of it may have been more. I was on her bus for 6 years.
Zig ~ If you want to dress as hummy Neora has the hair color combination listed in her signature. I love how many people have decided to cosplay hummy.

Bus talk! My school was 40 minutes away for high school, but via bus it was more like an 1 1/2 hours. So, we'd have to be out by 6:15 at the latest waiting. It was interesting though. Since it wasn't in our district, if their district had a snow day, so did we, obviously. But if our district had a snow day and they didn't, we still did. That was nice. :D
Our town didn't have a high school till I was going into my junior year so, we all stayed in the different high schools we chose while people under us started going to the new school.
And bus drivers! Small town living here, I knew my bus driver. She was friends with my parents since her husband and my dad knew each other. That and she'd had my or my siblings for an age so she saw us all grow up. She was awesome. She'd give us little presents around the holidays.
But when I was young, I had a sub bus driver who fell asleep. He denied it, but we ALL saw him keep nodding off, and rushed to the front of the bus to wake him up. It was pretty scary. The younger kids were getting upset, (we were all in Elementary school mind you) so we went up to talk to him, ask him if he was ok, talk loud to keep him awake. We reported it when we got home alive and whole, and I dunno if he got in trouble, but we never saw him again.

Star - holy crap that's rough! I would have hated to walk that far for the bus >.<
Damia - I kinda wish my alarm clock didn't have a snooze cause I seriously abuse it... But I do the same thing where I turn things off in my sleep.
Zig - I hope you get all your stuff done quick!! Also... we need more hummys!
Woody - wow all you guys have some bad bus stories! All I had to do was walk to the end of my shortish driveway, get on the bus, ride for 10 minutes, do school stuff and then one of my siblings or my parents picked up up in the afternoon so I didn't have to ride for an hour on the bus on the way home [i was last stop in the afternoon] >.<
