Thank you for telling me that info! I've always thought toddler stage was the cutest but I guess it's because I've always been on the outside looking in

Outside looking in is a good place to be with toddlers. Most parents will tell you they are little dick bags and having babysat my fair share of them, plus all my friends have kids, that assessment would be true.

I don't have much experience with young children. I've never babysat or had any young family members like cousins around

Pretty accurate.

Also helps that I took a child psychology class in college, so that has helped tremendously when watching toddlers and helping them learn stuff.

My friend's son just turned two in April and he always wants to go outside, it's his life's mission to get outside. Most of the time when I come over, I do end up taking him with me to the store, or the park, or somewhere else other than the house and that means he has gotten used to putting on his shoes and leaving. Well, if I am there just to visit and we aren't going somewhere, I have to distract him for like ten minutes before he forgets that he is angry we aren't leaving. Poor kid.

Guess it's a good thing that toddlers have the attention span of a gnat, ya know. Otherwise, we adults would never get anything done.

Salvete, toddlers can be the weirdest creatures ever sometimes. They'll want juice, so you put it in the first sippy cup you grab from the cupboard, but then they don't want juice in THAT CUP, so you're forced to sift through the whole cupboard of cups trying to decipher the description of the cup from their tangled ramblings and made up words, only to discover ten minutes later they want the cup in the dishwasher (that is of course currently dirty) or they end up taking the juice in the original sippy cup you offered them. Roachi, tell me this isn't true.

OMG that sounds like my son xD. He pretty much screeches the house down when someone leaves! He trys to get outside but is brought back in swiftly and the safety gate is shut behind him. And boy oh boy does he have a tantrum lol. He absolutely LOVES the outside haha.
I was thinking of taking him to the beach if it stays fine. Despite it being very cold here at the moment lol.

This is very true lol. My son doesn't like his drinks in his sippy cups he prefers to drink outta mummas bottles lol.
And of course there is no stopper on those ones, so he ends up pouring it all over the floor lol.

Lmao I've gone through that 3 times now! First one is now 7 and we have a whole new set of problems, the second is 4 and is getting better but still has meltdowns, and the third....well... she's just now 2 sooooo yeah. It's a blast xD; Thank goodness I can send them home to their mothers when they're just plain miserable!

Nope! No kiddos yet - just cousins with kiddos I've known since they were toddlers (though the youngest I've known since she was born) - I'm still in college so holding off trying for kiddos until after :3 Since I have severe PCOS it'll take help getting pregnant and I can't do everything necessary while trying to do school at the same time :3

For sure! Definitely exhausting when you're not used to it on a daily basis lol I think having them grow up with you is easier than having it jump into your daily routine randomly for a small period of time :3
