Naruto blinked, then blinked again. Then blinked a third time, for good measure. "So...because you're both female...you're going to look half cat for the rest of your life? And when you die, your body will become the Nibi's body?" He asked, to clarify. "I mean, it's not like I've never seen a girl with animal parts. Gemini-chan is the same, so that doesn't bother me. But, you won't turn into a giant hellcat while you're alive, will you?" He asked, not clear on that part.

Gemini groaned and sat up, glad that her scraped were already healing. "Okay teacher, what am I doing wrong? And how do I fix it?" She asked, looking up at him through squinted eyes. "Dang, you're right in the sun. Can you move a little?" She added, unable to see more than just his silhouette against the sunlight.

Yugito shook her head in the negative. "Not while I'm alive, no." She replied, glad that he wasn't disturbed by all of this. Then again, she should have realized it when he was technically the brother of Gemini.

Gaara chuckled lightly at this before doing as asked, moving closer to her and out of the sun. "Alright. Here's what the problem is: You're not using enough of your demon energy. Some call it youki, others call it demonic chakra. Me? I call it youki for simplistic sakes. Anyways, you're using to much chakra and your youki is trying to take over, causing the two energies to become unstable," Gaara said as he thought of ways as to how to help her fix it during the month that they had.

Naruto smiled. "Then it's no problem. I bet you look super cute with cat ears, dattebayo!" He said brightly, imagining the neko ears on her already.

Gemini thought this over, and nodded. "That makes sense. I've always tried to suppress my youki, because I didn't know how to deal with it." She mused. "So, I shouldn't do that. Maybe I should try to balance them? Like...Yin and Yang?" She asked, picturing her human and demon chakras swirling around each other.

Yugito blushed lightly after hearing Naruto say that. "Y-you really think so?" she asked, glad that her fear from earlier was something extremely stupid and unnecessary.

"Exactly. The closer you balance them out, the easier it will be for you to use different jutsus: Nin, gen, tai or otherwise. But first we have to get you use to just your youki. Think you can do that?" he asked.

Naruto nodded fervently. "Yeah, totally! I can picture you with cute cat ears, and a tail. I think you'd probably have white ears, with black patches. And the tail, too, 'tebayo." He said enthusiastically.

Gemini bit her lip. "I can try. Like I said, I've never actually used it...but I know what it feels like, so I can tap into it." She said. Deciding it would be safer to remain seated, she closed her eyes and tapped into her youki. Instantly, startling silver chakra like moonlight surrounded her. Her eyes flew open, showing surprise in their suddenly crimson depths. Her normally sharp nails and fangs lengthened to lethal points, and her pupils slitted. Silver-bright chakra the color of moonlight blew in every direction, creating a gale that whipped her hair around her. She looked wild, feral, dangerous...and absolutely terrified. "Ah- Gaara-san...help!"

Yugito's blush deepened as Naruto described what he thought she would look like when her cat features in the mindscape actually came to the physical plane. She already knew that was going to happen, and Nibi had confirmed it before she had left.

'My, my, your future mate certainly has nice choices in mind koneko. Perhaps I should grant his request?' Matatabi asked as Yugito sputtered at the comment.

'S-shut up,' she replied to the Hellcat Queen, cutting her off as she started hearing laughter coming from her.

Gaara was amazed by Gemini's youki, memorized by the moonlight color. Entranced by it, he didn't see the warning signs of her going out of control until he heard her plea for help. Not caring for the consequences and hoping that this worked, he tapped into his own resevoir of youki, letting it wrap around him before he expanded it, letting it clash with that of Gemini's, hoping for the best.

Naruto tilted his head, confused. "Kitty-chan? Are you okay? You look a bit red." He asked, once again oblivious to her discomfort.

Being inexperienced, the shock of the clash was enough to knock Gemini back to normal. Her youki sputtered out like a candle, and she collapsed in a heap as her features went back to normal. "..........Ow..."

'Heh, still as clueless as ever,' Kurama thought to himself as he watched the events occur between Naruto and Yugito. He had to admit that watching the kit make his future mate blush without even realizing it was quite fun.

"N-Nothing. It's nothing Foxy-kun," Yugito said as she got her blush under control. She'd just have to get back at Nibi later for such a comment like that, and she hoped that when she became the Nibi she wasn't like the perverted cat that she was stuck with.

Gaara rushed towards Gemini, letting go of his youki as he did so and becoming normal. He didn't want to accidentally scare Gemini, especially after such an event. "Gem-chan, are you okay?" he asked, worry and concern in his eyes. It was uncharacteristic of him for sure, but he didn't care.

Scratching the back of his head, Naruto shrugged. "Okay, if you say so. Hey...shouldn't Ero-Sennin be back here by now?" He asked, looking around for the old man.

Gemini nodded slowly, wondering if she had perhaps gone insane as she saw the emotion in his eyes. "Y-yeah...I'm okay. I...that was...what the hell was that?" She asked. She had never in her life felt anything like that.

"Sorry about that you two, I ran into Kakashi as he was taking a break from training his Genin. Did I miss something?" he asked as he looked at the two.

"Was that your first time actually trying to use your youki?" Gaara asked. If that was the case then it wasn't a surprise as to why it went so easily out of control.

Naruto sneered. "So Kakashi-sensei is training Sasuke-teme instead of me. I knew it! Well, now Ihave to master the summoning jutsu! I can't let Sasuke-teme beat me!" He exclaimed, and instantly got to work.

Gemini nodded. "Yes. I told you, I've always tried to suppress it. Using it would have meant showing that I had it, and that was...unacceptable. What do I do? I don't know how to handle that kind of power."

"You ever think of using the Kage Bunshin to help?" Jiraiya asked.

"Then why don't we work on that for the month while you help me with dodging and blocking?" he asked.

Naruto growled. "I told you, I'm gonna get this by myself!" He said determinedly, trying another summoning.

Gemini nodded. "Okay. How will I work on it if it overpowers me like that, though? We're starting from scratch on this one...you really don't mind helping me learn?"

((M'kay, cool. Just gonna skip to the hospital scene, in Lee's room the day before the exam.))

The month was almost out. Naruto had spent every day training hard with Yugito, while the old sage oversaw everything. Right at that moment, the blonde was laying asleep in a hospital bed. Having finally summoned the Chief Toad, Naruto had exhausted himself trying to prove a point. Sitting beside him, for some reason, was Shikamaru, who was currently wondering how the sand in an hourglass could simply stop falling.

The month had passed quickly, in a purely exhausting blur, for Gemini. She trained with Gaara every waking moment, and since he didn't sleep, that was pretty much always. Now it was the day before the final exam, and they had both finally mastered what they'd been working on. The casual observer would find, at that moment, the young vixen in the hospital, bringing a flower to her friend Rock Lee. She didn't know where Gaara had gone off to, so she had decided to take the day off.

Yugito had gotten stronger with the help of both Matatabi and Jiraiya. Having mastered the Kage Bunshin no Jutsu, she was able to learn a few raiton from a scroll that the pervert had on him about the element. She was also able to learn a few katon as well from both him and her demon, even if she had to put up with the perverted comments from both. Speaking of which, Matatabi and Kurama had that talk with Sarutobi and while she didn't know exactly what had happened during it, she knew that if the Raikage agreed to her staying in Konoha, then she could. She had also heard Kurama telling Naruto that his 'sister' might not be staying in Konoha either after the Chunin Exams, but that it was up to her if she wanted to stay or move.

Gaara knew that his siblings were taking the day off in preparation for their matches tomorrow.They had already been prepped for the invasion earlier and as such, were allowed to do whatever they wanted as long as they didn't bring attention to themselves. "You wanted to talk to me Baki-sensei?" Gaara asked as he got a nod from his sensei.

"Your father wants to know if you told that female fox demon about any of our plans throughout the month. If you haven't, he wants you to end your relationship with the girl. If you have, he wants her eliminated," Baki said, causing Gaara to narrow his eyes, but he told his sensei that Gemini didn't know anything. Somehow though, he knew it was going to bite him in the ass...

Naruto woke up in a panic, running around the room trying to find his clothes after Shikamaru had told him that the exams were only a day away. After much to-do about training and clothes, the blonde happened to run into Gemini in the halls. He went with her to visit Lee, who was still asleep, and then set off to find Yugito.

After running into Naruto in the hospital and visiting Lee, Gemini decided to go find Gaara. It was the last day before the exams and she wanted to spend it just hanging out with him. Over the month, they had become rather close, and she found it harder and harder to keep her feelings quiet. But she knew it wasn't the right time to tell him yet. She contemplated this as she searched for him.

"Ah, there you are Gem-chan, I was looking for you," Gaara said with his usual smirk on his face. He was actually glad to see that she was still doing okay, even after all the trial and error that she had when it come to controlling her youki. He was just glad that none of the ANBU had come to look for them, even when she went out of control. He chocked it up to him quickly handling it, but he wasn't sure if that was the case or not.

Yugito was waiting in Naruto's apartment, worry etched across her face. The reason this emotion was on our certain blonde beauty was because Matatabi had told her that tonight while she was asleep that the changes would take place. Seeing as how kind and noble Naruto was over the month, she had told the queen of the hellcats to make her fur color as to what he suggested all those days okay.

Hearing Gaara's voice, Gemini smiled and turned around. "Oh, Gaara-san! I was looking for you, too. I thought we could spend the day just hanging out. Unless you have any plans?" She asked, expertly hiding the fact that her heart was fluttering in her chest. She had gotten rather good at hiding that particular feeling.

Naruto walked into his apartment to find Yugito waiting for him. "Oi, Kitty-chan! I've been looking for you. I figured we could hang out and relax today, since we've done so much training. Hey, why do you look so worried, 'tebayo?" He asked, noticing the look on her face for the first time.

"I don't have any plans, so I'm quite okay with yours," he replied, expertly hiding the fact that he was hiding a deadly secret from her, one that was going to cause her to hate him once it came out. But if it kept her alive then he would live with it, just like before.

"The changes are going to happen tonight...and well, I'm a little scared Foxy-kun," Yugito admitted. "Scared...and worried," she added after a few seconds. Scared that it was going to hurt and that she would feel it, even if she was asleep, and worried about what would happen after transformation.

Gemini grinned. "Great! I had an idea that seemed pretty neat. I'll pack up a picnic basket, sandwiches and salads and juice- the works- and we can go out to a little clearing in the forest that I know and have a picnic, just the two of us. Then after we're done we can go up to Hokage mountain and watch the sunset." She said. It was an idealistic day to her, and -though she would never admit it- rather romantic.

Naruto's expression softened and he went to sit down next to her. He put an arm around her shoulder to comfort her. "I understand how you'd be worried, Kitty-chan. But if it helps, I'll stay with you the whole time. I'm sure Nibi will do her best to make sure it doesn't hurt, and I can distract you from it. And I know you'll be fine afterwards. It's just your appearance that will change, not who you are, so everything will be okay. C'mon, let's go have fun. You can forget about it for a while. He said.

Gaara chuckled lightly, honestly enjoying the idea of that. "Sounds like a plan," he replied. If he remembered what his sister said it was the perfect roma...wait, she didn't think of him like that, did she?

Yugito moved into Naruto's embrace, drinking in the comfort that the boy was giving her. "Thanks...and I'd like that," Yugito replied softly. If the two of them were just going to have fun for the day, then she was sure she could forget about her transformation, at least for a little while.

Gemini jumped up and down and clapped, much like a child. He agreed! "Great! Let's get ready! I'll pack up the lunch!" She said, rushing off to find a suitable basket.

Naruto smiled his signature foxy grin. "Great. There's an all-day all-night festival that goes on the night before the final exam. All kinds of food and activities. If we go now, we can see everything before bedtime."

Gaara chuckled lightly as he watched Gemini rushed off. Once she was away, he sighed lightly. "Father...do we really have to ally with Sound?" he muttered out loud. He was starting to have second thoughts about the Invasion now...

Yugito perked up once she heard about the festival and quickly agreed, thinking that it would be something she'd like to see. "Hey Naruto?" she asked as she slowly pulled away from the male blonde.

Gemini walked back in and then went to the kitchen, where she started to make sandwiches and fill the basket. Her ear twitched and she poked her head into the living room. "Hm? Gaara-san, did you say something?" She asked.

Standing up, Naruto turned back to Yugito. "Yeah? What is it, Yugito-chan?" He asked, blushing just a little. She had used his name without an honorific- that was something people only did when they were very close.
