Gemini nodded, and cleared her throat again. "Okay how about we just...pretend that conversation never happened. It's warm out, I'm gonna go swimming." She said suddenly. Standing up, she stripped of her shirt and pants to reveal a swimsuit underneath- she had come prepared. With a giggle, she ran forward and jumped into the water, making an impressive splash.

Naruto grinned and cheered. "Great job, Kitty-chan! You knocked them down on the second try!! Okay, now I'm gonna try again, dattebayo!" He said excitedly. Meanwhile, the vendor motioned to the hanging prizes that Yugito could choose from for winning.

Gaara chuckled lightly as he watched her swim. While he knew how to swim, he didn't like to do it since his sand weighed him down considerably. Though he had to admit that Gemini was doing well, a light blush adjoining his cheeks as he watched her.

Yugito grinned at the praise, "Thanks Foxy-kun," she said as she looked over the prizes and wondered what to pick.

After a bit of general messing around, Gemini swam to the far side of the pool, near the waterfall, and started climbing the rocks there. When she got to a height equal to that of a full grown tree, she smiled and waved at Gaara. "Don't freak out, okay?" She called down to him, before promptly swan diving off the rocky ledge. Her body arced gracefully through the air, and she entered the water easily, cutting through and coming up swimming. "That is so much fun!!"

Naruto stepped up to the plate, one ball in each hand. He had two tries left. Focusing hard on the pattern of the stack, he charged his hand with chakra and aimed carefully. Once he was sure he had a lock on it, he threw the ball hard and fast. It hit the stack dead center and knocked it down, making the blonde jump and cheer. The vendor showed him the prizes he could choose, and he considered them carefully.

Gaara was confused as to why she told him not to freak out before seeing her jump off of the rocks that were that high up. Alarmed, he was about to call forth his sand to catch her before realizing that this was the reason she said not to freak out and watched her enter the pool of water effortlessly. Once Gaara saw Gemini come above the surface, he grinned lightly. "That was amazing," he said with surprise and awe in his voice.

"Great job Foxy-kun!" she said and gave him a light kiss on the cheek for a job well done. Though she still couldn't decide on what to get for her prize. She had a feeling that Naruto would get her the giant fox plushie that was sitting on the top shelf and glancing to the left...she opened her mouth in surprise as to what she saw: a necklace with the gemstone of her birth laid within it. "Wow...sir, is that a real ruby necklace?" she asked.

Gemini grinned broadly. "Thanks! I've been practicing since I was six. I hope I didn't scare you. I didn't want to ruin the surprise of it." She said, swimming back towards the shore.

Naruto blushed brightly at the kiss, but shook it off as he heard her ask about the ruby necklace hanging near the top. Hearing the vendor proclaim proudly that it was a ruby necklace, but that you couldn't get it unless you won twice, he looked down at his one remaining ball. "I'll play for it. I'm gonna win it for you, Kitty-chan." He said determinedly.

"I can tell that you've been training with that," Gaara replied, though he did admit that he was a little frightened about what she was doing but had remembered her warning and stopped from trying to save her with his sand. "I will admit though, that was definitely one heck of a surprise."

Yugito looked down when she heard that she had to win twice in order to get that necklace, having a feeling that she couldn't pull off the same feat twice, only looking up in shock when she heard that Naruto would get it for her. "F-foxy-kun, you don't have to..." she replied, surprised that he was so determined to get the necklace for her.

Gemini chuckled. "Sorry. I'll warn you next time." She said, getting out of the water and walking back to the blanket. The awkwardness seemed to have dissipated, so it was mission accomplished. "Wow, the sandwiches are almost gone. I'm glad they weren't wasted!" She said, picking up an apple and biting into it with a contented hum.

Naruto had already taken a position at the stand. "I want to! If you want the necklace, I'm gonna get it for you, dattebayo!" He said sternly. The blonde put all of his focus into the pattern of the new cup stack. He found the pattern, charged up his hand with chakra, and let fly. The ball flew by fast and just missed the stack, but bounced off the opposite wall and knocked over the cups from behind. Naruto cheered as the vendor handed over the necklace, and Naruto handed it to Yugito. "There you go. Consider it a gift from me." He said with a giant smile.

"Thanks. I was a little worried when you did something crazy like that," he admitted, chucking lightly after she started to hum lightly in content. "I take it the apple is good?" he asked after she made herself comfortable on the blanket.

Yugito blushed heavily at the conviction that Naruto had when it came to getting the necklace for her, though she was impressed that he was willing to go that far just for her. During the time she was thinking about this, Naruto had gotten the necklace and was broken out of her reverie when he placed it into her hands. "Thank you Foxy-kun..." she said softly. "Do you think...you can help put it on for me?" she then asked.

"Already choosing your collar, hm koneko?" Matatabi asked with a grin, causing Yugito to just shake her head. She wasn't going to react to the hellcat...not at the moment anyways.

Gemini nodded. "Mm-hmm." She said, before swallowing. "It's great! Food always tastes better outdoors, especially with friends." She said.

Naruto nodded. "Sure, no problem!" He said happily, helping her put on the necklace. "It looks great on you. Hey, you still haven't picked a prize for winning yet." He noticed.

"I see..." Gaara responded as he picked an apple from the small bunch that she brought before taking a bite into it himself.

Yugito lifted her hair up and out of the way after giving Naruto the necklace. Once she felt him put it on her, she let it fall back down. Thanking him for the compliment, she nodded as she knew he was right. "True..." she said as she looked over the prizes. "Is there anything you want Foxy-kun?" she asked, seeing that it was only fair.

After finishing her apple and getting herself a cup of grape juice, Gemini sat back for a few minutes. "The sun's gonna go down soon. We'll have to pack up and get to the mountain before sunset. Especially if we want to see the surprise~" She sang the last part.

Naruto shrugged and looked over the prizes. He spotted one that was perfect. "Right there! It's awesome!" He exclaimed, pointing to a stuffed black cat with dark eyes that were the exact same shade as Yugito's.

"Surprise?" Gaara asked, curious as to what she meant. "What happens at sunset?"

Yugito nodded and was glad that there wasn't a catch like winning two times in a row or something like that as she nodded and told the vendor to please give her the cat plushie.

"I think it's nice that a couple like the two of you is giving the each other the item they won. It's cute," he said as he handed her the cat plushie, which in turn she handed to Naruto.

"Thank you sir," she said as a tinge of pink dusted her cheeks, curious as to what they were going to do next.

Gemini held up one finger. "Nuh-uh. It's a surprise, after all, and if I told you it wouldn't be a surprise anymore. You'll just have to find out." She teased.

Naruto found himself blushing slightly as Yugito gave him the plushie. "Th-thanks, dattebayo. So...do you want to go get some food? It's almost sunset and I want to get a good place for the fireworks."

Gaara nodded, knowing that she was as stubborn as he was when it came to not wanting to reveal anything. "Alright, if you say so," he replied with a light shrug. He was the patient type after all...

"Food sounds like a wonderful idea, Nya~"[ Yugito responded, knowing that her stomach was about to growl at her in demand of some soon. Wait...fireworks?

Gemini smiled and nodded. "I do insist. Don't worry, you won't be sorry." She assured the redhead. She stood up and started packing away the picnic, wanting to get to the mountain quickly. "Too bad it's all the way across the village. We're gonna have to haul ass to get there on time..."

Naruto grinned. "Great, let's go! There's a dumpling stand over there, rice balls there, dango there, ramen there, sushi over here- I bet you want some of that, huh?" He asked, remembering how she liked fish.

Gaara let out a small smirk before he created his sand cloud. If they had to haul ass, then the very least they could do was to do it with style...

"I could go for some sushi..." she admitted.

Glancing up, Gemini felt a wry smile cross her features. "Have I ever mentioned that you're brilliant? A show-off, but brilliant." She said, walking over to him.

Naruto chuckled. "Then sushi it is." He said, leading Yugito to the stand that was selling sushi. The people behind the counter were making the sushi to order, making it into a show as they did.

"Somehow I figured that you would approve," Gaara replied after chuckling just a little from hearing Gemini's response. "Now then, you said something about hurrying?" he asked.

Yugito followed Naruto to the sushi stand, watching in amazement as to how expertly they were creating the food. "Wow..." she breathed out.

Gemini nodded, and clung to the redhead without shame. She still remembered the last time they'd traveled this way. It had been awesome, but nerve-wracking. "Ready when you are."

"I always love watching these guys. Even though sushi isn't my favorite food, it's worth buying just to see the show, dattebayo!" He said happily.

Gaara nodded before lifting the two of them up, a light blush on his face at the close proximity of Gemini, but quickly forced it down. "Alright then, hold on tight" he said.

"I can see why. They're very impressive," she admitted as she waited in line with Naruto.

Gemini complied, holding onto him tightly as they started to move. Once again it was exciting and slightly frightening at the same time.

Naruto nodded and stayed quiet- a miracle, really- until they got to the head of the line. They were asked what they wanted, and he gestured for Yugito to order first. He would pay for everything.

Gaara flew towards the area that Gemini mentioned earlier, making sure not to go too fast. After all, he didn't want to scare Gemini...even if she would never admit it.

Once Yugito and Naruto got to the front, Yugito looked over what she could order. Not recognizing any of the specialized sushi, she decided to keep it simple and just ordered a regular plate of sushi.

It wasn't long before they reached the mountain and she was able to step down onto solid ground again. She told herself that she was just unsteady, and that's why she clung to him for just a bit longer than necessary. Of course that was why. But sadly, she had to let go in order to lay the blanket down on the rough stone of the mountaintop. "Just in time, the sun is setting." She said, smiling at him.

Since it was getting late, and he wanted to find a good spot for the fireworks, Naruto ordered the same. The chef started on their orders immediately, and was finished within five minute, having given them a show worth remembering. Naruto paid and too their to-go containers. "C'mon, we can eat this as we walk. It's not far from here to the Hokage's tower. It's the tallest building in the village, so sitting on the roof will give us a perfect view, 'tebayo." He said, handing her her container of sushi.

Gaara was confused as to why the vixen was continuing to hold onto him for a few more minutes, even after he ended the sand cloud technique. Now that they were on solid ground, he would have thought that she'd be helping him set up the spot so they could watch whatever the surprise was, but he wasn't complaining...far from it.Though apparently, whatever this surprise was happened at night and he returned her smile with a soft smirk...

Yugito was amazed by the show, definitely cementing the show to memory. Once the chef was finished with their food, she was surprised that Naruto paid for the both of them. "I could have paid for myself Foxy-kun, but thanks," she said once he handed her the box of food, and started eating as she followed Naruto to the spot that he was talking about. Little did she know that it would be a good thing that it was isolated from the rest of the village...

Glancing up at him, Gemini noticed his smirk and blushed a little, though she didn't fully know why. She was glad for the darkening sky, so that he wouldn't see the pink on her cheeks. "Come sit, it's almost time." She said happily.

Naruto just grinned as he led her. "I wanted to. That's what a real man does for a lady, you know?" He said. Once they got to the building, he used his chakra to run up the wall and to the roof, where he sat down facing the setting sun. "Perfect. We'll have the best view from here. Well, actually, the mountain has the best view, but it's all the way across the village and we'd never get there in time. So...the second-best, I guess." He said with slight embarrassment.
