Gemini smiled and nodded as Yugito took Naruto away. "If we're going, we really should go. There will be Anbu out here any minute looking for you guys." She said tiredly.

Temari nodded. "Kankuro, take Gaara. Gem-chan, I'll carry you until you think we're safe from ANBU, unless you think you can keep up with us," she said before Kankuro picked up his unconscious brother.

'Mata-chan, what did you do?' she asked as the queen of hell cats explained what she discussed with the Raikage about. That her kitten's happiness was better suited here than it was back in Kumo, among other things. 'I'm going to do everything in my power to help you keep him koneko,' Matatabi said.

Gemini chuckled. "I would like nothing more than to stand on my own two feet. Unfortunately, I've got no feeling in my legs." She said, as if commenting on the weather.

"Hey, Kitty-chan...thanks for helping. Sakura-chan would've been killed if it hadn't been for you. I love you, dattebayo..." Naruto muttered, slowly losing consciousness.

Temari nodded before kneeling down. "Then get on. I don't think we have much time," she responded.

Yugito blushed heavily as she heard what Naruto said, though it did bring a smile to her face all the same. She just hoped that he remembered saying it to her, so that she could say it to them as well. Seeing the ANBU and Hokage coming, she hoped that Gemini and the others would be okay.

Gemini nodded and did her best to hold on to Temari, given the fact that her legs wouldn't respond. "I'm ready as I'll ever be. Go ahead." She said.

They, along with Sakura and Sasuke, were found and taken back to the village where they had to give statements about what had happened. Naruto was in the hospital when he learned that the Hokage had died, and was devastated. It was all he could do to keep from crying. Instead, he held on tightly to Yugito's hand. "H-he was like a father, 'tebayo..."

"Foxy-kun..." Yugito said softly in concern once she heard that Naruto thought of the old man as a father.

Naruto sniffled, trying to hold himself together. He was a ninja. Shinobi were not supposed to cry. "He cared. He was nice when no one else was."

"Why don't you tell me about him?" she asked as she tried comforting Naruto the best that she could.

Naruto nodded and started telling her about the Hokage, starting from his earliest memories of the man.

Yugito sat there and listened to Naruto talk about the Hokage that he called "Jiji"

By the time he was done talking, Naruto was ready to fall asleep again. "Kitty-chan, will you stay with me?" He asked.

"Of Course I'll stay with you Foxy-kun," Yugito replied after Naruto finished his tale. She could now understand why his death was effecting him so hard...

Naruto smiled sadly and fell asleep, holding Yugito's hand.

Meanwhile, somewhere between Konoha and Suna, Gemini had decided to try and walk. It was going better than expected, considering she had only fallen twice in ten minutes. She was clearly as stubborn as the day was long.

Kankuro watched for a few seconds, snickering lightly as she fell the first time. He then heard Gaara waking up as well and put him down. "Nice of you to join us brother," he said.

Yugito sighed lightly, feeling bad for Naruto. 'he shouldn't have had to go through all of this...' she thought lightly as she watched him sleep. Yawning lightly, she fell asleep a few moments later, using his chest as a soft pillow.

Gemini looked up from her third time falling down, to see that Gaara had woken. Blushing slightly, she banished all awkward thoughts and smiled. "I see you decided to rejoin the land of the living. Are you feeling okay?" She asked, completely ignoring the fact that she was currently flat on her ass and dirty from falling.

"I will live, but what about you? You look like you've went through hell" Gaara replied with a light blush on his face, still remember the previous events and how the female fox told him that she loved him. 'I still don't know why she loves someone like me though...' he thought.

Gemini chuckled tiredly. "I've been better, I won't lie. But I'll be okay. I heal fast." She said with a wry smile. Her tail twitched a bit as she tried to stand up yet again, and managed to stay up this time. "We're not safe yet, not as long as we're in the forest. We need to keep moving until we cross to the desert." She giggled. "You could say, we won't be out of the woods until we get out of the woods." She joked.

"I would shoot you with a senbon, but that's more trouble than it's worth for a joke that bad," Kankuro deadpanned. Though he was glad that Gemini was back on her feet and healing at an accelerated rate, just like his brother.

Gemini smirked. "Watch it, Kankuro-san. Even in this state i can kick your ass and rearrange your genitals." She shot right back in a slightly teasing matter.

"Which is why I said it wouldn't be worth it," Kankuro replied. 'seriously, why do all women have to be troublesome?' he asked himself. "Still a bad joke though"

Gemini laughed. "If it weren't for bad jokes, we wouldn't appreciate the good ones. Anyway, it's true, no matter how bad it was. We need to get moving, and quick." She said, becoming serious again.

"You're right, we do" Temari stated, though she knew they would be close to the desert soon.

With that stated and agreed to, Gemini took the initiative and started walking. She was still a bit unsteady, but she did okay.

"You don't have to push yourself, you know," Gaara said as he walked beside her.

Gemini smiled at him. "I'm fine, really. If I need a rest, I'll let you know." She assured him brightly, tail swaying slightly as she walked.
