"If you say so," Gaara said reluctantly. He was worried about her, but didn't know exactly how to say it. Hopefully they would be in the dessert soon. 'I dare someone to attack us there...' he thought.

((Ooh, that sounds like a challenge! lol))

It was less than an hour before they reached the desert. When they got there, Gemini smiled a little. It was so vastly different from her home in the forest, but somehow the huge empty space seemed wild and free. She felt like she could run forever there. It's a new start... She thought. Just then, a group of sound ninja burst from the ground, surrounding them. "This is what I get for being optimistic." Gemini deadpanned as the sound nin started to attack.

Kankuro just stared for a few seconds before blocking one of the enemies' attacks, quickly kicking the sound shinobi away, seeing that her sister and Gemini had done the same. Gaara had blocked the shinobi with his automated sand defense and a small smirk appeared on Kankuro's face. "You idiots just had to attack us here. I really want to pity you, I do but...I ran all out of pity while dodging through the trees," he said, goading them on. If he was lucky, then whatever Gaara would do next would be unseen and not coming...

It occurred to Gemini that in the desert, Gaara would be practically a god. Part of her wondered if there was anything he couldn't do there, but she didn't dwell on it as she dodged another attack. Unfortunately, her legs chose that moment to give out on her. She cried out as she fell, but was caught by one of the sound nin. "Orochimaru-sama wants to see you, little vixen." The man sneered. In response, Gemini swore loudly and started fighting like a wildcat, trying to get free if the man's grip. A stream of curses left her mouth that would have made a sailor blush.

(Phoenix would like to apologize for not posting last night, he was feeling sleepy and his eyes didn't want to stay open)

Gaara was hard pressed by the Jounin that he was currently fighting, knowing that if he hadn't tried learning taijutsu then he would be completely overclassed. Hearing Gemini cry out, he turned his attention on her for a second. He didn't hear what the man said to Gemini, but he did hear his...girlfriend swear loudly and fighting to get free of the man's grip. If it weren't for his sand armor right then, he would have been severely damaged...but his eyes narrowed dangerously as he heard what his opponent said next.

"So the girl is your weakness...just as Orochimaru-sama thought"

Gaara didn't think before pushing his chakra into the sand beneath the shinobi, using one of his favorite killing techniques against the man he was fighting. However, the sand that he pushed up to capture the man didn't do what he wanted it to, instead it went around the man in a perfect sphere of pure chakra.

"You fool! Did you not think that Orochimaru-sama would have planned for that! Our goal is to capture the vixen and return back alive! he shouted before hearing an audible crack.

"You forgot one thing about sand: it doesn't cut, it doesn't grind, it doesn't shave, but what it does do is pressurize. Now die!" Gaara shouted as he filled the chakra sphere with his sand, cutting off the man's oxygen. After that, he quickly looked around before cursing. The man holding Gemini was no longer in sight.

Gemini could still be heard, her loud cursing echoing as the sound ninja carried her away. He was having trouble holding her, and having trouble concentrating because of her screaming obscenities directly into his ear, and therefore wasn't going very fast. "Bitch would you shut up?!" He said, irritated as he had to stop short to avoid slamming into a tree. (They went back into the forest.) "No! Never! Nobody shuts me up and gets away with it! I will yell until your head explodes!!" Gemini screamed back, unnecessarily loudly.

((That's okay, Wolfie wasn't on either ))

Gaara could hear Gemini cursing up a storm through the forest and lightly smirked, knowing there was a reason why he was okay with her. Seeing that his siblings were alright, he headed back into the forest as he followed Gemini's cursing.

The sound nin had been forced to stop fully as Gemini managed to get one leg loose and kick him in a very sensitive area. He still wouldn't let go, however, and even created two shadow clones to help hold her down. Vexed and unable to use her arms for a jutsu, Gemini- still screaming like a banshee- began to transform into her fox form in an attempt to get away.

Gaara saw the sound shinobi and two clones holding her down. Fearing the worst for some reason, he growled before letting sand pour from his gourd and create two spears. Throwing them quickly at the clones, he headed towards the creator of the clones, intent on killing him.

While the original nin was distracted by the sudden appearance of Gaara, Gemini- now fully transformed- raced away from him. The small fox hid behind Gaara, growling at the sound ninja from behind his legs.

Gaara watched in amusement as a small fox ran behind him, assuming that it was Gemini. After that, he turned towards the Sound nin that though he could kidnap Gemini and let sand quickly wrap around the man. "Now then...how does Orochimaru of the Sannin know about Gemini and myself, and more importantly...why is he interested. You tell me and I'll end your miserable life quickly. Refuse and..." he said with an evil smirk on his face. Who knew that Gaara could be good at torturing people?

Gemini, in fox form, waited quietly for the trapped nin to answer. "I-I don't know! I was just told to bring back the girl! Something about insurance, I think!" The man stammered, though it was clear he wasn't telling the whole truth.

Gaara knew that the Sound nin wasn't telling the whole truth. "You're lying, tell me the whole truth right now," he said with his voice taking a demonic tone to it. He was tired of having to hold back and he wanted answers, and he wanted them yesterday.

The man squealed and nearly wet himself. "Okay, okay! Orochimaru-sama wanted to capture the girl so he could hold her as leverage against Sasuke Uchiha! H-he figured the kid would come more willingly if his little girlfriend were there, and that that Naruto kid would back off if he offered the fox girl in exchange for the Uchiha. Plus, he wanted her for experiments, but I don't know what kind I swear!" The nin squealed in terror.

"Gemini-chan, would you like to deal with this one?" he asked calmly, somehow knowing that she was feeling full of rage at the moment from this idiot's comments. 'apparently anyone who's been spying on her got it all wrong...though, who's been spying on her?' he mentally asked, only sighing when he realized that he wouldn't get any answers.

With a ruthless snarl, Gemini leaped forward, teeth bared. She jumped onto the trapped nin, glancing back at Gaara as if telling him not to let the guy go. She positioned her jaws over his throat and bit down lightly, almost torturing the poor bastard. It wasn't long before he was begging for death, and that's when, with relish, she ripped his throat out. Crimson fur now covered in blood, she shook herself and trotted back over to Gaara.

Gaara saw Gemini give him a look that said not to let him go before trotting over to said idiot and torture before ultimately killing him. Chuckling lightly as she walked back towards him, he couldn't resist "Feel better?" he asked.

Gemini gave a satisfied bark to indicate that she did, in fact, feel better. She stood up and tried to transform back, but it wouldn't work. Growling in frustration, she looked up at Gaara and barked again. Her chakra had run dry, and she couldn't change back. This is what I get for trying a transformation I'm not used to... She thought.

Gaara knew that she was trying to communicate with her, but since he didn't have any fox in him, he couldn't understand her, not at the moment anyways. But he had the feeling that she couldn't change back, at least not at the moment. 'Could it because she's low on youki or chakra?'

Gemini whined, realizing that he couldn't understand her. Thinking quickly, she jumped up and started racing back to the desert, looking back every so often to make sure he was following. Once she had reached the vast stretch of sand, she turned to look at him, eyes bright, before using her tail to write in the sand. I can't change back. Not enough chakra. Never tried this transformation before. She wrote, managing to look sheepish even in fox form at the last statement.

Gaara quickly followed after the runaway fox, who kept making sure that he was keeping up with her by turning her head every so often. Amused, he kept up with her until they were back in the desert, finding both Kankuro and Temari waiting for the two of them in the safety of the shade. Seeing the vixen past by both of them, Gaara gave them a quick look that said he'd explain things later before seeing Gemini writing in the sand.

"Wait...that's Gem-chan?" Temari asked after reading the three sentences, getting a nod from her brother. She also heard snickering from Kankuro.

"Seriously...this is your first time trying out this form Foxy-chan? Ow!" he shouted as he got gibb smacked by a tendril of sand from Gaara. Only he had the right to call her that, though he did admit that she deserved to get teased for admitting she never tried the form before and looking sheepish at that fact as well.

Gemini the fox whined, somehow making it a clearly embarrassed sound. She used her tail to wipe out the previous sentences, and started writing again. Go ahead and tease. The truth is I never even knew I had this form until this past month. I was desperate to get away, so I tried it. It worked...but at the cost of my chakra. She wrote. Well, at least her tail was flexible enough in this form to write all that. I will have to travel this way until I'm rested enough to change back. She added.

"So until you gain your chakra back, you're stuck?" Gaara asked, confused. He was wondering why Gemini couldn't use her youki to change back.

Gemini nodded, barking an affirmative. No chakra. No youki. Need to practice more. She wrote. Tilting her head, she added more. Still need to keep moving. want to be gone before the snake realizes his goons failed.

"Good point. Maybe Temari-nee could carry you?" he asked.
