"Oh god...flirt when I'm not around you two," Temari teased as she mockingly groaned.

Gemini laughed. "But it's more fun when we can embarrass you guys at the same time!" She said.

"But I know where you sleep, and not afraid to call Kankuro in for reinforcements," Temari responded.

"Ah, but you forget: Kankuro-san is scared shitless of me." Gemini countered easily.

"But I'm the one who helps him get his materials," Temari said with a grin.

"You have some sway over Kankuro-san, but I have Gaara-san. Check mate." Gemini said happily.

Gaara chose this time to intervene. "As enlightening as this conversation is...dinner is getting cold. And she's right nee-chan. You forget how easily sand gets into everything after all..." he said with a smirk.

Gemini beamed happily and went over to kiss Gaara's cheek. "Well, I'm ready to eat. What did you make, Gaara-kun?"

"Just some stir fry. I didn't want to do anything too fancy," he admitted. True he could cook, but he didn't want the first time to be something that he was okay with cooking only once in a while.

"Sounds great. I can't wait to eat, I'm starving!" She said, moving to set the table. "Where's Kankuro-san, anyway? We can't eat without him, that would be rude."

"Right here, at your service," Kankuro responded as he entered the kitchen. He had cleaned up after working on his combat puppets, still working on a new one of his own creation.

"Good, right on time. It's a good thing you showed up, 'cause I get cranky when I'm hungry." Gemini said cheerfully.

"Does that mean it's your time of the month then?" Kankuro asked, already preparing to dodge the attacks that he knew were coming from that comment. But honestly, how could he not have taken that shot at the vixen?

Gemini smiled sweetly, then started hurling fireballs at the puppet ninja. "You are so rude! You never, ever ask a girl that question, and even if it was true it's still none of your business you pervert! Besides, who are you to talk, a man who plays with dolls?!"

Kankuro chuckled lightly as he dodged the multiple fireballs, slightly impressed that she was doing it without any handseals either. Seriously, did everyone had to make fun of his battle puppets and choice of what he was wearing? Couldn't they get better material? "You opened the door to that joke Gemini, not my fault I ran through it"

"Tons of people get cranky when they're hungry, even men! It has nothing to do with that time of the month at all! The fact that your mind jumped straight there says a lot about you!" Gemini said heatedly. "Now shut up and sit down, before I get even more cranky!"

"I would do what she says Nii-kun," Gaara said diplomatically. "And Gemini, there's no fighting at the table. If you want to turn brother into a crisp, please do it outside," he said as he took his sand back into the gourd on his back, using said sand to crush and make the glass sand once more. A little known fact about Gaara was that he liked to cook when he wasn't watching the night sky and didn't want anything disturbed in the kitchen.

(I've often seen people give Naruto a gardening hobby, so why not give Gaara a cooking hobby? Besides, I know people who say that cooking something often helps them organize and think so if Gaara can't sleep...why not? *shrugs*)

Gemini huffed and sat down. "Fine. I'll turn him into firewood after dinner." She said.

"That's all I ask," he said with a slight smirk as Kankuro mentally paled. 'Good, maybe this will teach him a lesson,' Gaara thought before bringing the plates filled with food to the table.

Once she saw the food, Gemini's demeanor changed tot hat of a small child. "Ooh, it smells so good! And it looks even better! I bet it tastes even better that that!" She said excitedly.

Gaara chuckled before placing them on the table before sitting down himself. "Iddakimasu"

Gemini spared just enough time to say thanks and then dug in, eating as if she had never eaten before in her life.

Temari giggled light before saying thanks before ating herself, Kankuro doing the same thing as well.

Gemini finished first, which was surprising given the fact that Kankuro was at the table. "Wow, that was amazing! Gaara-kun is the best cook ever!" She said happily. "And that makes me the luckiest girl ever!"

Temari giggled lightly after finishing her food, knowing that Gaara was indeed a good cook. Then again, she knew it was his way of coping with the insomnia.
