Gemini made a valiant effort not to blush, and mostly succeeded. Her cheeks only turned a little bit pink. A date with Gaa-kun... She mentally sighed, but managed not to show just how happy the idea made her. "Okay. Is dinner ready yet?" She asked, failing to cover up her growling stomach.

Gaara didn't realize that he caused his girlfriend to blush, but Temari noticed it. She wasn't going to tease the poor girl now, but she wouldn't definitely tease the girl about it at a later date and time. "Yeah, dinner is ready, Gem-chan" Gaara responded to Gemini's question.

Gemini punched the air. "Yes! Thank goodness, I though I was gonna starve!" She said, sounding a lot like Naruto for a second.

Gaara let out a small laugh, but nothing that would cause anyone to stare at him. "You realize that you acted like Naruto there for a bit?" he asked in his normal monotonous voice.

Gemini sweatdropped. "Ah, I guess I did. That knucklehead rubs off on you after a while." She chuckled. "It's not that strange for that to happen, though. He's like my brother."

"I remember you saying that in the past," Gaara replied as he put the fish on four separate plates and then setting them down, the salad already at the table.

"I've probably said it a lot. Sorry if it bothers you..." Gemini said, going to sit down. She didn't mean to annoy anyone by repeating herself too much.

It doesn't bother me," Gaara replied as he brought the food to the table, two plates at a time.

"Oh, okay." Gemini said happily, watching Gaara as he moved about.

Kankuro chuckled softly as he saw Gemini just watching his brother but didn't say anything about it as Gaara brought the food to the table. Once everyone had food, he started to eat, just like everyone else.

Gemini dug in, as usual, as if she hadn't eaten in weeks. After a few moments, her eyes widened and seemed to sparkle. "Ah!~ Gaa-kun, this is sooooo good!" She said, with tiny hearts in her eyes.

Gaara laughed lightly, glad that his girlfriend enjoyed his cooking.

After two weeks of trial and error, Yugito felt that she and Naruto almost had the Rasengan: Rainfall technique completed. All they had to do now was to test it one last time.

Gemini finished her food quickly, though not too quickly to enjoy it.

Back in the training field once again, Naruto faced Yugito. "Are you ready, Kitty-chan?"

"Ready Foxy-kun" Yugito replied. Today was the day that they tested whether this ninjutsu of there's was really ready for battle use, especially since the neko thought they would need this in the future...

Temari mentally giggled, having a feeling that Gemini wanted to get to reading her books as fast as possible. Then again, she would have to reread her collection as well; it had been a while since she read the series after all.

Naruto raised his fist. "Okay, then let's try it out! We're aiming at the targets we set up in the field. Kakashi-sensei fixed up a few of them so that they move, but I don't know which ones so we'll have to watch carefully." He said, super pumped.

Once Gemini was finished, she took her plate to the sink and washed it. She needed something to do while she waited for Gaara to finish, so she figured she'd wash her dishes.

"Who's firing the Rasengan first?" Yugito asked as she listened to what Naruto said and mentally nodding in agreement.

Gaara and the others finished their food a little while after Gemini did, each taking their dishes to the sink and washing them.

"You can, if you want. The very first real test of our new jutsu is yours to start!"

Gemini waited impatiently until Gaara had finished with everything, then grabbed his hand and started pulling him towards the door. "Come on, we have to get to practice!" She said excitedly.

"Thanks Foxy-kun, I think I'll take you up on that offer," The neko said with a grin on her face as she gathered chakra towards her tail in preparation to fling the Rasengan up into the air. She was a little antsy at this, hoping that the Rasengan: Rainfall would be a successful collaborative ninjutsu between the two of them.

Kankuro had a small smile on his face while chuckling lightly at the sight of his younger brother being carted off by a female to go somewhere. "It's nice to actually see that, ne Nee-chan?" Kankuro asked once the two left the household completely unable to hear his comment.

Naruto readied the first Rasengan, getting the chakra in his arm pumped up so that he would be able to throw it. "Ready?" He asked.

Gemini managed to drag Gaara pretty fast towards their destination, and even got there in less than five minutes. Stopping to catch her breath, she smiled at her boyfriend and knocked on the door.

Yugito nodded, as her tail had stored up the required amount of chakra in order to hit it. Now all they had to do was make sure that it worked.

"You know...I could have flown us here if you gave me directions," Gaara said with an amused tone as she got her breath back. While he was a little concerned for her, he knew that she was alright and would have said something if she wasn't.

"Okay, here it comes!" Naruto shouted, tossing the Rasengan at Yugito.

"Flown? Oh, why didn't I think of that?!" Gemini shouted, slapping her forehead.

Yugito got ready and once the Rasengan was close enough, she flipped around and hit the ball of spiraling death with her tail, sending it upwards. With the chakra she added to it, it should have gotten the right altitude before breaking apart and hitting the targets that Kakashi had put up earlier. 'Please work...' she thought.

"Because you were in too much of a hurry to get here? Gaara asked, laughing lightly.

Naruto watched, tense, as the Rasengan was batted up into the sky. It flew to exactly the height they had practiced for, then broke apart into five smaller balls of chakra, each one flying in a different direction. Each ball hit a target squarely, destroying it. One of them even hit a moving target. Naruto jumped up and cheered. "It worked!! One for each of four directions, and one straight down. It was perfect, Kitty-chan!!"

Gemini started to glare, then stopped, head tilted and staring at him wide-eyed. "Gaa-kun, you laughed." She said wonderingly. "A real, actual laugh. You should do that more often, Gaa-kun, you have such a nice laugh." She told him happily.

"Yeah, Nya!" Yugito responded, so giddy at the fact that it worked perfectly she didn't realize the control over her verbal tic slipped. She was just extremely happy that they were finally able to finish and complete the new ninjutsu. Looking over at Naruto, she couldn't help but laugh at how her boyfriend was reacting. 'And to think, this happened because of an accident...' she thought.

Gaara stopped laughing and blushed lightly at what Gemini said. "Um...thanks? he asked uncertainly, not sure whether to take that as a compliment or not.

"Let's try it again, but I'll hit it this time, dattebayo!" Naruto said, excited to try it. They had to be sure it worked with both of them, after all.

Gemini smiled warmly at him. "It's a compliment, Gaa-kun. I really like your laugh. And you're cute when you blush. Should we go in now?" She asked.
