Gemini smiled. "He'll appreciate that." She said.

"He'll also scold you for being reckless." Naruto added.

"True, we're probably all in for a bit of scolding for that."

"Then again, when you're a jinchuuriki or a friend of one, you find that trouble and scoldings usually come hand in hand," Yugito commented as she tried her best to find some sort of opening.

"Same here!" Naruto said, a little too cheerfully.

"And me!" Gemini raised her hand as well. The battle was coming to a close, and she turned to see Sakura waiting eagerly to check on Gaara. "Look, it's over!" She said, rushing to her boyfriend's side. Gaara had managed to subdue the demon by himself, and also defeat the other guy. "Ga-kun! I'm so glad you're okay!" She didn't hug him just yet, as he had a serious shoulder wound.

Yugito was glad to see that Gaara was fine, well as fine as the slowly healing shoulder wound.

Sakura was there right away, checking the wound on Gaara's shoulder. "Don't move. It's deep, but I can heal it." She ordered.

Gaara nodded, even though he knew that his demonic healing could heal the wound, though it would probably take longer if he went that option. Plus he knew that Gem-chan was worried about him...and assumed that Matsuri-chan was worried about him as well. He also had a feeling that the two of them were to going to have a talk about that sooner or later...

After a few minutes of tense silence, Sakura leaned back and wiped her forehead. "There. It's not perfect, but there won't be any permanent damage. Not even a scar." She said tiredly.

Gemini sighed in relief. "That's good. How about we all head back now?" She suggested.

Naruto nodded. "Yeah, there's a lot of us hurt and Sakura-chan is tired. We need to be healed up at a hospital." He said in a rare moment of sensibility.

Yugito nodded, knowing that almost all of them were tired and in no shape to continue fighting...if there were more fights to be had. "Anyone want help getting back to the village?" she asked.

In the end, several people needed help getting back to the village. They all made it back safely, though, and the medic ninjas took over from there. Gaara was hospitalized, as was Naruto, since both had suffered some extensive damage.

((Okay, that's pretty much the end of that ark. In the last couple minutes, they show Naruto talking to Jiraiya about training and finding Sasuke, and then they pan over to show Gaara in the hospital bed on the other side of the curtain, listening the whole time...and that's the last episode before Shippuden. So the question is, where do you want to go from here? Should we skip to Shippuden, or do stuff in between?))

(I only read the manga, I didn't watch the anime (since it seems to never want to end) but we could probably do a few things between Gaara, Gemini and Matsuri, or we could use the Waterfall Village OVA/Movie, or perhaps we could have an Akatsuki member try to attack? I'm honestly just spitballing ideas atm...)

Yugito's tail swished silently behind her as she watched her boyfriend sleep for a few moments before turning away. She was glad that her Foxy-kun was safe.

((Wolfie actually never saw any of the movies...so she'd rather not go that route. Um...While Naruto is off for three(?) years training with Jiraiya, what will Yugito be doing? We should address that as well...))

(She could be training with Matatabi? Learn what will happen once she takes over as the two tailed demon cat?)

((That's a good idea. Make for a good reunion between her and Naruto XD))

(So her training...where? Demon Realm, some type of mountains, somewhere in Kumo or at that island where Naruto "accepted" his darkness for Jinchuuruki training?)

((Ooh, the demon realm is probably best. Since she's eventually going to become a demon, it would make sense for her to familiarize herself with that realm.))

Three years had passed. Three years since Naruto had left to train, since he had seen his village, his friends, his girlfriend. His homecoming should have been happy, but truth be told, the occasion was dampened just a bit by the fact that Yugito didn't seem to be there. Standing high up on a pole overlooking Konoha, Naruto felt a little sad, but still managed his signature smile. After three brutal years, Naruto Uzumaki was finally back in Konoha!

Three years was a long time, and yet it seemed to have passed so quickly. Over that time, Gemini had trained hard and watched as her boyfriend not only gained the trust of the village, but eventually became it's leader. She couldn't have been more proud of him. The only bump in the road was that Matsuri had developed a crush on him, and thus become Gemini's rival in love. Gemini wasn't entirely threatened, though. Matsuri was just one of the many fangirls that fawned over Gaara constantly these days, and Gemini was already his girlfriend. She had enough faith in him to believe that he wouldn't even look at another girl. This belief was helped by the fact that he didn't seem to notice the fangirl's in the slightest.

Yugito panted lightly as she finally finished training. It had been three long years since Matatabi took her to the demon realm so as to get formal training in becoming the leader of the cats. She sighed lightly, wishing that she could see her future mate and current boyfriend, wondering if he was even back in Konohagakure yet as well as the friends that she made. 'I wonder how everyone is doing...' she thought to herself before seeing her teacher.

"Mata-sensei?" she asked as Matatabi said that it was time for them to head back to Konoha. Vanishing from the Demon Cat Realm, she appeared in Konoha.

Gaara sighed lightly as he looked over Sunagakure. It had been a long three years that had him gaining the trust of the civilians and Elders of the village. He just wished that he could spam clones like his friend Naruto so as to get done with the paperwork quicker. Hearing a knock on the door, he told the person to come in, already sensing that it was his girlfriend, Gemini who had matured into a beautiful vixen and lucky to call her his girlfriend. However, he wasn't ignorant of the fangirls that plagued Gemini and himself.

After a few minutes of looking fondly over his home village, Naruto jumped down from the pole he was standing on. As his feet touched the ground, his bright orange fox ears- which he no longer kept hidden- perked up. A familiar scent crossed his nose, and he smiled. Yugito! He turned on his heel and started running for where the smell was coming from.

Gemini often helped Gaara with paperwork when she wasn't training, and that was what she was doing when she got the message. She jumped up and headed straight for Gaara's office, smiling. Finally, after three years, she was about to be promoted to chunin! Gaara hadn't gone easy on her just because they were dating. He made her go through all the same training as everyone else, and she was glad for it. It made her stronger, and helped her earn respect from the villagers who had never fully trusted her.

Yugito breathed in the air of Konoha, actually missing all of this during the time she was in Makai. Before long, a familiar scent passed through her nose and a smile came to her lips. It was Naruto...and he was heading this way. As her future mate was coming to her, she feasted upon all the changes that happened while she was away.

Gaara knew that Gemini would be enjoying the news right about now and was the reason why she was heading towards his office. It was a good thing that he had finished most of the paperwork that he had to look over and not some of the drabble that his vixen of a girlfriend was looking over for him to see if he needed to deal with it or not.

Naruto arrived only moments after that, skidding to a stop in front of his girlfriend. "Yugito!" He smiled one of his famous grins and hugged her. "I missed you so much, 'tebayo!"

Gemini got to Gaara's office in a few minutes. Instead of barreling in like she wanted to, she knocked politely on the door, like she was supposed to.

Yugito grinned and returned the hug as her tail swished behind her showing how happy she was to see her boyfriend again after being apart for so long. "And I missed you Naruto, Nya~"

"Come in Gem-chan" Gaara said. He was actually just about done for the day, minus any emergencies, and was about to see if she wanted to do something tonight as a celebration of their anniversary of dating for three years.

Naruto beamed. Hearing his girlfriend's cute verbal tic again was probably the best thing ever. "How have you been? Did you get taller? It's so great to see you!"

Gemini heard Gaara's voice telling her to come in, and she entered, closing the door behind her. "You called for me, Kazekage-sama?" She asked teasingly.

Yugito laughed at the questions and comments that her boyfriend was asking. However, all she wanted to do for the moment was breathe in his scent. After a few more seconds, she released the fox boy from the hug and smirked lightly. "In order: I've been fine, Mata-chan has been teaching me what I need to know once I am to rule the Cat demons and much to my annoyance, I have a servant/friend that keeps insisting on calling me either 'Neko-hime' or 'Yugito-hime'" she said before starting to see Naruto smirk.

"You start calling me that too and I'll tell Teuchi and Ayame that you lost a bet and won't have Ramen for a week" she commented before seeing the smirk dissipate immediately. "Now then, yes I've grown taller, though I don't know how much and it's wonderful to see you Foxy-koi"

Gaara just shook his head at that, knowing that Gemini knew she didn't have to call him that."Well seeing as my aide isn't following my order of calling me by my name when we're alone, I guess I can just watch the sunset by myself," Gaara teased.

Naruto smirked slightly at the idea of calling his girlfriend "hime" but she shot that down pretty quickly. "Fine..." He said. "Oh, wait. This servant of yours, are they a guy or a girl?" He asked, his mind going from teasing to jealous in an instant. He cursed silently at his over-protective nature.

Gemini pouted. "How mean. I'm only being polite." She said, then giggled. "Alright then, Gaa-kun, what was it you wanted?" She asked.
