Yugito could see that Naruto wanted to call her 'Hime' at least once and shook her head lightly at that. "Thanks. I wouldn't mind you calling me it but I've just grown to hate being called it all the time by Blaze-chan. I think Mata-chan specifically chose her since she knows I like the color purple," Yugito responded, hopefully answering his question and pleasing his jealous nature. 'Though it is cute to see that...' she thought. "Now then...what about you?" she asked, curious about what happened over the years.

Gaara chuckled lightly at that. "I know you're only being polite Gem-koi, but I also know you know I'm just teasing you. And I was wondering if you wanted to get something to eat with me" he asked.

Naruto relaxed slightly when he heard that the servant was in fact female. Not that that meant anything- honestly a female could just as easily have a crush on Yugito as a male could- but it made him feel better all the same. "Well, Ero-sannin trained me really hard! I got knocked around so much that I needed new clothes after just a couple months, and a new headband, too." He gestured to indicate his clothes and headband, which were indeed different. He went on to explain all the training he'd gone through.

Gemini smiled. Of course she knew he was teasing. "Getting something to eat sounds great." She said. "Was there anything else?" She wondered if he was going to promote her then or not. The messenger had told her that she was being promoted to Jounin, but she didn't know when that would happen.

"Aw, how cute. My Foxy-kun is getting jealous..." she teased after realizing why he worried about her and her 'servant' but she was also a little flattered that he was getting jealous in the first place. After seeing her boyfriend in the new clothes that he indicated, she had to admit that she approved. "You actually look like a real shinobi now, I'm impressed," she said honestly.

"Nothing at the moment," Gaara replied, wanting to wait until the next exams to promote her. Yes he knew that she was ready, but at the same time he didn't want people to think that he was giving her special treatment or anything like that.

Naruto blinked. "Thanks! Wait...you mean I didn't look like one before?" He asked, slightly deflated. "I thought I always looked like a real shinobi..."

Gemini pouted. He knew exactly what she was asking, she could tell. But why wouldn't he promote her now, after having sent a messenger to retrieve her just for that purpose? Was he waiting for something? Exams? Is that it? But that doesn't make sense. I'm already a chunin...there's no such thing as a jounin exam.

Yugito couldn't help herself and started laughing at how defeated he looked. "Relax Foxy-kun, I'm just teasing you. Though this is much better than that tracksuit you wore when I first met you," she responded honestly.

(I've seen both sides of that, stories where there are Jounin Exams and stories where there aren't. Did you want me to change my post from earlier concerning Gaara and Gemini?)

Naruto brightened up a little bit. "So you think I look good?" He asked.

((No, that's okay. Maybe we could say that Gemini's birthday is around the same time as the chunin exams, and he's waiting for that?))

Yugito nodded at the question. Not knowing what to do next, Yugito asked if she could tour the village with him since the both of them just got back.

Naruto nodded. "Sure, that sounds great! It'll be nice to reacquaint ourselves with the village. I wonder what's changed after so long?" He said.

Gemini shrugged off her thoughts. Gaara was Kazekage, so if he didn't think it was time to promote her, then she had no right to question him. "Alright, well then let's head out. Did you have a specific restaurant in mind?"

"Not only what, but who," Yugito commented, wondering how the others have changed over the three years they were gone from Konoha.

"Shirou-sensei told me about this new place that just opened up. He and Artunia-sensei recommended it," he responded. "And I'm sorry that I haven't been able to be a good boyfriend lately..."

Naruto nodded. He had changed so much over the past few years, he could only imagine how much everyone else had changed. But, he was sure no one had changed so much that he wouldn't recognize them.

Gemini blinked. "What? Oh, don't talk that way!" She moved closer to him. "You've been busy, Gaa-kun. It comes with the job. But you've still managed to make time for me, no matter what...you have been a wonderful boyfriend, and I don't ever want to hear you doubting yourself again."

”So where to first Foxy-kun?” Yugito asked, her tails swishing about behind her in idleness as she awaited his answer.

Gaara nodded after hearing Gemini’s rant at him for his self-loathing. “Alright. I won’t think like that again, or at least try to. Anyways let’s go,” he replied with a mental smirk, knowing that Gemini would like the secret surprise he had in store for her. It didn’t hurt that it seemed like she didn’t like not knowing…

"Hm..." Naruto crossed his arms behind his head, thinking. "Well...it's been so long since I've had my favorite ramen. Can we go there? Please?" He looked at her with puppy eyes.

Gemini nodded, satisfied that her boyfriend was no longer in a bad state of mind. "Okay! So where are we going?" She asked. There was literally nowhere in the village they couldn't go, but she knew Gaara didn't like to abuse his privileges too much.

Yugito laughed at that before nodding. "Sure, we can go to Icharaku's Ramen" she said, though wondered if Ayame and her father would recognize them.

"It's a surprise" he said before leading her to where she likes to go out to eat.

Naruto jumped up and punched the air. "Yeah, all right! Let's go!" He said, and took off.

"Oh, interesting." Gemini said. She usually didn't like surprises, but she did when Gaara was behind them.

"I'm glad you haven't changed Foxy-koi," Yugito said before following after her boyfriend, a smile on her face. Despite everything that changed, Naruto stayed the same. Hopefully the same could be applied to her as well...

"Shall we head out?" he asked, especially since all of his work, for the moment anyways, was done. Though he knew there would be more paperwork for him tomorrow morning.

Naruto turned around as he ran and grinned at her. "Of course! Nothin's gonna change who I am!" He exclaimed, then turned back around and continued forward.

Gemini nodded. "Sure, let's go." She said.

Yugito laughed and followed her boyfriend, soon the two of them were in front of the Ramen Stand...a place that hadn't changed in the years that they were away. "This brings back memories..." she said softly as she saw Naruto waiting for her.

Gaara led Gemini through the village, dodging her questions about where they were going. Before long, they were in front of her favorite restaurant...a smirk on his face as he saw the gasp of surprise on her face. "Happy Birthday Gemini"

Grinning ear to ear, Naruto nodded. "Sure does! Ah, it hasn't changed at all!" He seemed pretty happy about this.

Gemini's jaw dropped, and she squealed excitedly. It was her favorite restaurant, but they didn't get to go there often because they were both so busy. She tackle-hugged Gaara. "You remembered! Oh, thank you so much!"

Yugito laughed lightly at that before waiting for him to head in. She had a feeling that Lady Tsunade, assuming that she was still the Hokage, would send someone to fetch them soon.

"Of course I would remember my girlfriend's birthday. It's considered extremely rude if I did...at least that's what nee-chan told me," he said while scratching the back of his head awkwardly. "But I was able to pull a few strings and get us a table for two tonight."

Naruto walked into the stand and greeted the owner and his daughter, who were both pleased to have their number one customer back.

Gemini chuckled. "Well she was right, though I wouldn't have cared if you forgot. No one's ever remembered before." She smiled at him. "You didn't have to do all that for me. Just remembering was enough...but thank you."

Yugito walked inside as well, a small smile on her face as she saw Naruto interacting with his friends.

"You're welcome" he replied, a soft smile on his face as he was glad to see his girlfriend smile.

Sitting down in his favorite seat, Naruto ordered, then paused to let Yugito order something, too.

Taking her boyfriend's hand, Gemini tugged him forward. "Let's go inside!" She said.

Yugito ordered some ramen, watching her boyfriend catch up with the people who more or less raised him. She also listened in on the stories he was telling about his three years out of Konoha.

Gaara let out a light laugh as he heard her before following her inside.

Naruto gladly talked about the time he'd spent away training, telling all kinds of stories about the intense training and the interesting places he'd seen.

Once she had all but dragged her boyfriend inside the restaurant, Gemini waited for a waiter to seat them.

Yugiot grinned lightly as she heard all these stories and once he was done, couldn't help but be impressed. "Wow Foxy-kun, you really had an interesting time..." she said, almost wishing she had that much fun while training to be the next ruler of the Cats.

"Welcome Gaara-san, Gemini-san, are you here for the reservation?" the hostess asked after seeing the couple together. Even though she was new to the village, even she would know who the Kazekage and his girlfriend were.
