Done. What airline, what time? Because that was relevant information that she kind of needed. But Alexis was fine with going to Miami, and then maybe going somewhere else part of the time.

Autumn quickly relayed the information and finished booking the vacation.

Alexis finished not long after and stretched a bit.

We can take my car to the airport if you want.

Sure. God I need this vacation. They should know better than to lump more assets onto the agents who deal with what we deal with. Autumn stretched out on her bed for the moment. They didn't have to even leave for another hour or so.

Technically we're not even supposed to be working alone, we're supposed to have two handlers per group. Alexis yawned a bit and settled down to rest for a bit.

Only based on group size, and technically you're fine with yours. I would technically need a partner, but nobody really wants to work with the X-men. And the people who work with the pairs or independents are fine. Autumn grinned a bit. Now, enough about this, in seven hours we'll be in Miami sipping margaritas on the beach.

That sounds absolutely fantastic. Alexis grinned and got up after a bit to go get her car, pick up Autumn, and then head to the airport.

Six and a half hours later, Autumn was stretching out on a beach chair with a sigh.

"Oh this is nice," she said. "I needed this."

"Oh man I needed this so much," Alexis said with a little groan. She sprawled out on a towel on the sand.

"Yeah," Autumn agreed. "No paperwork, no crisis, no green horns..." She grinned. "This is nice."

"Very." Alexis settled down a bit. "We definitely need to make this a Thing."

"With our jobs? We'll be lucky if we ever get to do this again," Autumn pointed out. "Well, no, maybe you. You could probably talk Stark into it."

"No, this will happen again, because this not happening is how they lose handlers, which Coulson knows very well," Alexis pointed out. "Besides, me talking Stark into it doesn't count because then I'd still be with him, at least."

"Come on, how often did we get vacations before this?" Autumn pointed out. "Since we joined up, at least."

"...Okay, yeah, true," Alexis agreed with a little grumble. "But still." She sat up and moved so she wouldn't get burned on that side.

"Hopefully the handler situation is resolved by the time we get back," Autumn said. "Or I may actually shoot someone, and I won't even care if it's Deadpool or not."

"No kidding." Alexis sighed. "Although I think he was picking out a few potentials, so maybe we'll get lucky and he'll hire them all and we'll have some backup. That would be wonderful."

"Yes it would," Autumn said. "Hopefully they all survive orientation."

"They'd better." Alexis yawned briefly and settled down again.

"So, what all do we want to do while we're here?"

"Relax and tan and not worry about anything," Autumn said promptly. "Maybe swim some."

"Swimming sounds good. Maybe we can do something fairly normal. Go to an amusement park or something." Alexis shrugged.

"I like the sound of that," Autumn said. She grinned. "Maybe hop a flight to Orlando? Universal, maybe?"

"Sounds good to me." Alexis grinned. "We just have to remember that we can't shoot civilians for stupidity, as tempting as it sometimes is."

"It's not the civvies who worry me," Autumn said. "It's the police and all them."

"True," Alexis said, shaking her head a bit. "Well maybe we won't have a problem. There are no known villains down here, no assets to look after, and anything normal to the public isn't our business."
