The wet sock hit with a smack, and Clint jumped a bit.

"What was that for?" he asked, throwing it back. He didn't make any real effort to hit her with it.

"You're being a creeper, Barton," Alexis said lazily, going back to sprawling in the water.

"Am not," Clint replied. "Just enjoying the steam, that's all."

Alexis flipped him off lazily and slipped the rest of the way under the water, at least briefly. So she missed the very significant look Natasha shot Autumn.

Autumn nodded back at Natasha. She definitely saw what the assassin was seeing. The only question was how to act on it.

Natasha shrugged a bit. She could leave them to it... or she could give them a little push. The only question now was which would be more entertaining?

Autumn studied Alexis for a moment before giving Natasha a subtle head-shake. Leaving them to it for a little while longer seemed best. They could be given a shove later on.

Natasha nodded faintly at that and went back to relaxing.

Autumn reluctantly got out of the hot tub a while later.

"I should go dry off and call for a ride," she said. "I need to get back and see what's going on at the mansion."

"Alright," Alexis said, getting out as well with a little groan. "Let me know when you're back at the mansion so I know everything's okay."

"Will do," Autumn said. She headed into the next room to change, and then called Charles. She figured he would want to send someone out to get her, and that was just fine with her.

Charles did indeed send someone with a car. And Pietro went on his own, arriving before the car and texting Autumn.

Autumn smiled when she saw the text from Pietro.

That was fast, even for you. Be careful if you go to my apartment, I don't know if Hydra is watching it or not.

You have enough things at the mansion to last a week or so, if you want to wait, Pietro texted back. Or just go shopping for all new stuff in a day or two.

We'll have to see about the shopping. I might ask Alexis to have Tony look into my account, make sure Hydra didn't have it frozen. Which was a very real possibility, since the SHIELD payroll deposited directly into her account. For now, heading back to the mansion sounds like the best option.

Well, the car is about a block away, so you can head down whenever now. Pietro smirked as he watched the car approach.

I'll be right down. Autumn wasn't surprised that they were that far behind Pietro. She just slipped on her shoes and grabbed her crutch, making her way down to ground level.

Pietro and the car were both waiting for her when she got down to ground level. He smiled at her and opened the car door for her, letting her get in and get settled first.

"Thanks," Autumn said, sliding into the car. "You coming, or are you going to just beat the car back to the mansion?" She grinned, unaware that it was a little teasing.

Pietro smirked. "As slow as it'll be, I'll take the car." He slid in on the other side, settling himself in. "Have to make sure you don't get into more trouble, after all."

"This trouble was not my fault," Autumn protested. "At all. I just got swept along for the ride."

"Well try not to get swept further away," Pietro said, leaning back in his seat. "We were worried."

"I didn't mean to worry you," Autumn said. "We had to lay low for a bit. I'll explain what happened once we get back, so Charles can hear it all too."

Pietro nodded. "Yeah, I figured," he said. "Better than nothing. I'm just glad you didn't get hurt." He realized what he'd said and looked out the window, willing himself to stay calm.

That surprised Autumn a bit, and she blushed faintly and looked out the other window for a bit while she tried to collect her thoughts.
