Charles saw her as she came downstairs.

"Is everything alright?" he asked.

"Yeah, everything's fine, we just decided that maybe quiet and a movie is best for this evening," Crystal said with a quick smile.

Charles studied her a moment, and then nodded.

"Of course," he said. "Don't hesitate to ask if either of you need anything, okay?"

Crystal nodded and got food and drinks for the two of them, balancing everything carefully up the stairs and back to her room.

Paige was flopped across the bed when Crystal came back in.

"Think it's okay for us to hide out up here all night?" she asked when she saw her friend.

"Oh yeah, it's fine," Crystal said, setting everything down. "Charles basically gave us the okay, we can hide up here."

"Great," Paige said. She settled a bit more on the bed. "I don't want to go downstairs for a while."

"We've got a TV, we've got food, we're good for the night," Crystal said, handing Paige her food before going to settle in next to her.

"Right," Paige said, taking the plate. "You know you don't have to hang with me all night, right?"

"I know I don't have to, but I want to. A break from the noise will be nice." Crystal shrugged.

Paige nodded. She was quiet for a moment.

"He offered me a job," she said finally. "Stark. He offered me a job at his company."

"He did?" Crystal blinked. "Well, that could be a good thing." She was watching Paige more carefully, though.

"It would be," Paige agreed. "The pay would be phenomenal." She sighed. "I just hope I didn't screw up my chances earlier."

"We'll find out soon, I expect," Crystal said, settling in next to her. "If he decides not to give you a job, we'll just keep looking."

Paige nodded and settled in closer to her with her dinner. She fished around for the remote and turned on the tv.

After their night of quiet TV and dinner, Crystal was ready to face the morning.

Especially since it was a weekend. Meaning the kids would all be home.

Paige didn't mind looking after the kids at all. It was only fair that she helped look after them, in exchange for being allowed to stay

Remy was also hanging around for a while. He hadn't felt the need to leave just yet.

Tony, on the other hand, had gone back to the Tower, but around mid-morning a letter was delivered for Paige. The first page was Tony's chicken scratch, and the subsequent pages were the new SI employee handbook.

Crystal took over keeping the kids busy so Paige would have a chance to read her letter, grinning briefly.

"You'll have to let me know what it says," she said, absently plucking Wanda down from on top of a bookcase and setting her safely on the floor again.

Paige nodded, sitting down to start reading the letter. It took a few moments to decipher the terrible handwriting.

"I... got the job," she said, blinking. "I start on Monday."

"Well, you can't have screwed up too badly," Crystal said cheerfully, grinning at her. "That's great news."

"I'm going to be the personal assistant to the CEO," Paige said, a bit in awe. She almost whimpered a bit. "I need some new suits..."

"We can do that, we can go later today or tomorrow," Crystal said. Although she was a little relieved to hear that Paige would be working with the CEO rather than with Tony.

Paige nodded.

"Just think, soon I'll actually have real money coming in," she said. "Good thing, too... My manager at the store's been giving me sketchy looks, I think she might have found me out."

Crystal nodded. "Well now you don't have to worry about that anymore," she said with a bit of a grin.

"Thank god," Paige murmured. She sighed. "This is the break we needed."
