Crystal stretched out a bit before she curled up on the couch, settling in quite happily.

Charles just smiled, glad that she was finally getting comfortable around them, and settled back in with his book. The little one was still fast asleep in his bassinet, so Charles intended to take advantage of the downtime.

After a little bit, Crystal got up and headed in to check on dinner (which was going fine) before she headed off to find Remy and the kids.

Remy had managed to corral the kids in the living room with the television, and he was leaning against the wall just to keep an eye on them. He had exhausted the card tricks for the moment, and besides, they had cartoons to watch.

Crystal found them pretty quickly and checked in on them. Well, they all looked fine, which was good. But now she also didn't have an excuse to blow things up, which was not so good.

Remy saw her come into the room and nodded in greeting, grinning flirtatiously at her.

"Evenin', chere," he said.

"Evening, Remy." Crystal shot him a quick grin. "Looks like they're sucked into their normal cartoons."

"Good thing," Remy said. "Gettin' them t' wind down can be a challenge."

"No kidding. Although, as nothing is broken and there's not flour all over the floor, it seems today was decently uneventful." Crystal grinned a bit at him.

"Doesn' mean it can't still happen," Remy pointed out. He stretched a bit. "Though th' extra person helps while Charles is napping with le petite."

"Yeah. I don't think I'm going out tomorrow, so you won't have to be wholly responsible for them." Crystal grinned a bit, checking the kids once more before debating what to do with herself. She wasn't feeling calm enough to just stand there and watch TV.

Paige ended up getting back right about then, walking past the living room with her jacket over one arm and her shoes in hand. She took one look at Crystal and gestured to the stairs.

"Hey," she said, "let me just go change and I can look after the kids for a bit."

"Don't worry, I'm fine," Crystal said. She figured she could go help with dinner after Paige came back down. At least then she'd have something to do.

"Five minutes, I promise," Paige said, heading for her room. She could tell Crystal needed to blow off some steam, so the least Paige could do was supervise the last hour of My Little Pony.

Crystal waited patiently until Paige had returned before she left, heading into the kitchen to see what she could help with, debating going for a run or something.

Paige quickly changed into comfortable clothes and slipped back down into the living room.

As soon as Remy saw Paige come back, he went to find Crystal.

"Up for a stroll, chere?" he asked. "Free spirit like Gambit don' do so well cooped up indoors."

"Sure," Crystal agreed after a moment, adjusting course so she was heading for the back door. "I'm surprised you didn't try to escape as soon as I got home."

"Th' kids woulda tried to riot," Remy pointed out, grinning. He followed her outside. "Had to distract 'em with cartoons first."

"I see you have the system figured out," Crystal said with a little grin, starting to walk aimlessly. "And are shamelessly taking advantage of it."

"Of course," Remy replied, grinning at her. "Whatever works, non?"

"Exactly." Crystal shook her head a bit. "At least there's a few of us so we can take turns."

Remy nodded.

"Always a good thing where the little devils are concerned," he said, grinning a bit. He stretched a bit as they got out a bit further away from the mansion.

"No kidding." Crystal snorted. She noticed him relax a bit once they were away from the mansion but she didn't say anything for a few moments. "Itchy feet?"

"A bit," Remy admitted. "Not so used to stayin' in one place for so long." Absently, he flipped a poker chip across his knuckles, and it crackled and sparked with pink energy. "An' it's better out here, so any explosions don' bother Charles so much."

"Beyond those trees the kids don't even notice," Crystal said, nodding to a set of trees about fifty feet ahead. "As long as they're not huge and showy explosions, anyway."
