"They're fine with it," he said. Honestly, they'd been wanting to meet her since Tony got her the job working with Pepper. "Come on, seriously, they're fine with it. They don't mind."

"If you're sure..." Paige said, tentatively following him.

Tony made his way up to the living room, grabbing a plate to pile food on his plate. Paige got a quick look from the rest of the team but no one minded, and no one said anything special, just keeping up the steady conversation.

Paige cautiously went over to grab a plate, glancing at everyone as if expecting to be told to leave. She wasn't necessarily scared, but she was a bit nervous. She was nervous enough that she ended up dropping some food, and she stared in amazement as a Roomba zipped right over to clean it up.

Tony settled into his chair and stretched out, settling in for movie night. There were other open chairs and an open spot on the sofa for Paige to choose from. The rest of the team was already settled in and relaxed.

Paige tentatively settled down on one of the open chairs. She didn't want to press her luck by settling on the sofa, just in case anyone had personal space issues.

It was Clint's turn to pick the movie tonight, and he'd picked some action movie with lots of explosions and things that he could pick apart and bitch about. Tony just cackled a bit.

Paige just sat there and listened, not at all sure about making her own comments. Then she surprised herself at one point when she piped up.

"That's comic book physics," she said. "That could never happen like that."

"See what I mean?" Clint said, taking her comment in stride. "It would never happen, but isn't it awesome to watch?" He shot her a quick grin.

"But metal doesn't do that," Paige said. "Not without extreme applications that are very clearly not being applied there. They could at least make it plausible."

"Plausible is apparently not as fun as this," Clint said with a shrug. "Movies like to do things like this. And like that. Surfing down stairs. Totally not possible, I've tried."

"It's easier in a laundry basket," Paige said. "On shallow stairs. It can totally work. Rectangle basket, shallow stairs."

"Shallow stairs," Clint agreed. "But steep stairs? Not much works. You just end up on your ass or your face."

"Well, yeah," Paige said, shrugging. She paused. "Maybe an old-fashioned sled, you know, the flat ones with the curled fronts. Those might work."

"No, they don't have enough give to them when you get to the bottom, unless you have nice gentle stairs," Clint said, shaking his head. "They don't work well on anything but snow or ice, either. They have drag issues and tearing and splintering and throwing sparks issues too."

"And anything more flexible wouldn't be able to get down the stairs as easily," Paige agreed. "That's a shame, that could have worked if not for physics."

"If not for physics, that bitch," Clint agreed with a grin.

"Maybe a ramp at the bottom of the stairs," Paige mused. She shook her head. "I'll have to experiment on a set of stairs when I get back home, maybe Erik can help somehow. It can work, somehow."

"Oh if you get Erik Lensher to help with anything fun like that, you're getting video," Clint informed her with a grin.

Paige snorted.

"Yeah, good luck with that," she said. "Let me know when you have a camera that can survive an electromagnetic field with its data intact and still not be crushed like a tin can, then we'll talk."

"Tony," Clint said.

"I'll work on it," Tony said, rolling his eyes.

Paige blinked.

"No, that's an impossible set of criteria," she pointed out. "To make something that inherently requires metal immune to Erik is an oxymoron."

"You're assuming it requires metal," Tony said. "I can make something plastic."

"An entire camera, out of plastic," Paige said. "You let me know how that works, because last I checked, there are some internal bits of camera that have to be metal."

"Bah," Tony said with a grin. "That just means it hasn't been done yet, and I'm good at ignoring things like that."
