Paige snickered.

"Let me know how that works out," she said.

"Oh you'll know," Tony said with a grin. Because now he had a challenge, and he would make it work.

Paige just rolled her eyes a bit and settled back in her chair, content to settle back into the background for the moment.

The next two movies went similarly, except that Thor dropped off about half-way through the last one, and even Steve was looking pretty tired by the end of the marathon.

Paige fell asleep right around the beginning of the third movie, curled up in her chair with her head on her arms. It was surprisingly comfortable, being in a room full of superheroes. Paige could kind of see why they did this every week.

As everyone headed down to their rooms, Tony huffed and picked up Paige, carrying her to one of the guest rooms for the night.

Paige stirred a bit when she was picked up.

"Did I fall asleep?" she asked softly.

"Yeah, but so did Thor, and you're a lot lighter than he is," Tony said with a bit of a grin. "Don't worry about it."

"Didn't mean to fall asleep," Paige murmured as she drifted back off. The soft glow of the Arc reactor was oddly comforting.

Tony got her settled into the guest bed before he went back to his lab to get some more work done.

Paige woke up he next morning to the smell of pancakes and bacon. Getting up, she made her way to the kitchen to see what was being made for breakfast and if she would have to fend for herself.

Steve was making breakfast, enough for everyone. He shot Paige a quick smile when she came in, and Clint nodded to her from where he was perched on a chair with a cup of coffee.

"Morning," Paige greeted tentatively, making her way over to the coffee machine. Hopefully, it would agree to give her coffee.

"There should still be coffee," Steve told her. "Cups are there." He nodded to the appropriate cabinet.

"Thanks," Paige said, going to grab one of the mugs. She poured herself some coffee and made it the way she liked, and then went to sit down at the table.

Steve put the pancakes on the table as he made them, and as people filtered in. Natasha, then Bruce, then Thor, then finally Tony with the last batch. Tony grunted, drank a cup of coffee black, and then settled in for his second cup and pancakes a little more coherent.

Paige sat at the far end of the table with her pancakes, just watching the others. It seemed like this was a routine for them, and she didn't really want to intrude on it. So she ate her breakfast quietly, finally settling in once she finished to just keep sipping her coffee.

It was pretty routine for the others, but no one tried to pull her in. Unlike last night, this was quieter and calmer, and pretty much everyone just kind of did their own thing once they were done with breakfast.

Paige got herself another cup of coffee and just kept watching everyone. It was surprisingly normal and very familiar; they behaved very much like the Lensherr-Xavier family, except for the occasionally hyperactive children. Clint filled that role well enough, anyways.

Once he was awake enough, Tony stretched and got up, looking at Paige.

"Alright, come on, let's go Science again. Or you can use a TV and watch stuff if you want."

"What kind of science are you planning?" Paige asked, both curious and a little wary at the same time.

"I need to finish up the upgrades to the suit, I think Brucie needed me to double check on something, and whatever other projects I have hovering around that need work." Tony shrugged.

Paige nodded.

"Alright," she said. "Sounds like fun."

Tony nodded and led the way back down to the lab. He settled into working quickly, though he made sure she had a place to sit and be comfortable.

Paige watched him work, just quietly letting him tinker. It was kind of fascinating to watch.

"Did I ever tell you what happened that one time I absorbed glass?" she asked, breaking the silence.
