Remy grinned and went outside with her, to the space where they usually threw around their fireworks.

"Feelin' any better, chere?" he asked as he pulled out his cards.

"A bit," Crystal agreed. "I'm still not very good company I don't think." She flicked a little crystal at the ground.

"Wouldn' mind your company if you wanted to come with me, chere," Remy said. "Thinkin' of headin' back t' New Orleans, if you're interested?"

Crystal blinked. "New Orleans?" She considered that for a few moments, looking at him. "Maybe. Let me think about it for a few days."

"Gambit's movin' on at the end of the week, chere," Remy replied. "About time to start wanderin' again. Speak up by then if you want to come with."

"I will." That surprised Crystal a bit, but then, he had told her he liked to wander. But what surprised her more was the fact that she thought she did want to go with him.

Remy grinned and pulled out a card from the deck. Charging it, he gave it a quick flick into the air, giving it enough height and spin to give Crystal a chance to hit it.

Crystal chuckled and flicked a crystal at it, watching the sparks float down around them. Then she flicked out a few more crystals, keeping them fairly small for now.

Remy smirked and flicked a few cards, each one finding a crystal and popping into a shower of sparks. Then he sent out a few more cards that were charged a bit more than before.

Crystal noticed the change, grinned, and met the silent challenge. Apparently tonight was going to be a flashy night. That was fine by her.

Remy grinned more. Oh yes, he liked this style of flirting. And apparently, so did she. So he kept it up, making his cards steadily stronger until he hit the limit of how much damage he was willing to risk on Charles's lawn.

Crystal grinned when she noticed that and kept up with him level for level. Then she flicked a few in quick succession.

Remy matched them all, grinning at her flirtatiously as they all exploded.

"You're good, chere," he said.

Crystal grinned right back. "Well, I've had a bit of practice," she said, shamelessly flirting right back. Because so far it was still just flirting.

"Indeed you have," Remy replied. He looked around and grinned a bit. "And we didn't even mess up the grass, Charles'll be pleased."

Crystal laughed a bit. "Some days I think he's less worried about the grass and more worried about us," she said easily.

Remy snorted.

"We'd be fine, he knows that," he said. "Can't be hurt by our own energy and all. And I wouldn't hurt you, chere."

"I believe that," Crystal said, rather surprised at that knowledge. "So. New Orleans, huh? Decided it was time to head back there?"

"Yeah, about time," Remy replied, nodding. "Been here long enough, past time for Gambit to be movin' on." He looked at her. "'Course, it'd be nice if you came along, chere."

Crystal was quiet for a moment. "Could be fun," she said cautiously. "I've never really traveled."

Remy grinned.

"Think you'll like it," he said. "Gambit knows all the best placed, by now. Somethin' in New Orleans for everybody, and all along the way."

Crystal was quiet for a few more moments.

"Well, I suppose if I decide I don't like it, I can always hop on a bus and come back here."

"Of course," Remy agreed, nodding. "Wouldn't dream of strandin' you anywhere you didn' want t' be."

Crystal nodded. "I never thought you would." She smiled faintly.

"Good." Remy looked at her, a bit hopefully. "So you'll join me, then?"
