I would feel uncomfortable going to a local nano event, a person from my old home school group coordinates all the events.

Oh man, I got behind yesterday and haven't caught up yet but instead have done a massive plot overhaul and now my original antagonist is going to be a protagonist and I'M REALLY CONFUSED BY EVERYTHING.

I'm sure it will turn out good though! Get to know your characters and I'm sure they will lead you to writing success!

It always seems like as you write them, the stories kind of take control and write themselves.
How is everyone doing on their nanos?

My total words until now is 2.3k...
I am sure when my motivation come, 5k a day is no problem. x.x
so...
the problem now is to search for motivation.

Go here> National Novel Writing Month pick out one you like, copy the code from where it says> http to png, paste that in the spot for signatures in your account on mene, add img tags around it, save it and done ^-^ *tried to make that as simple as possible*

Well I hadn't written much of the original plot really, so I just had to edit a couple of paragraphs of what I'd already done. It's my future plotting that needs to be worked out. I now have a far less specific idea of what's going to go on.

I'm at 8.5k words, pretty good considering I've missed about three days of writing.
This time last year, I got to 12k words and decided that I didn't like it, so I started over. I want to do that again this time, but I'm forcing myself not to touch my previous chapters until after I'm done. Not even to correct people or places after I've suddenly decided to rename them.

lol. Good restrain. I will always go back to correct my spelling after finish one sentence. I just can't stand looking at the redline. D:

I fix my spelling mistakes too! It's annoying, because in the story I'm writing at the moment, quite a few of my characters use Maori words in the middle of sentences, or for short statements, and the programme I use is like "that's not even a word" and I just sigh and click "learn". The red wiggly line is so annoying.

I fix spelling and grammar mistakes, but that's it.
What I'm not changing, though, is stuff that'll take away from my word count. For example, my story has these magical slave collars that I decided to change the name and function of one of their key components about a chapter after introducing them. Rather than going back and rewriting its name and explanation, I'm just pushing ahead and hoping that I remember I made the change when I go back and edit. :3

I always fix my mistakes too. Even if I'm really deep into writing (when I'm like on auto pilot lol), I will still stop and fix the mistakes.

Heh... I am happy to know I am not the only one fixing pesky little errors.
*dances*
I can stand the words not in the best vocabulary or grammar (like past or present tense), but not spellings.
For big change like, names, there is this function call REPLACE.
You insert the previous spelling, and fill in the new spelling on the next box. Then it will automatically replace ALL spelling.

I use find and replace often enough, but that still leaves a ton of other things related to those changes that are still important.
Not saying that that's not good advise, but it's one of those things where if I start, even with just replacing, I'm not going to stop revising and I'll kill mah poor novel's progess dead.
