I'm using this as an excuse to force myself to sit down and write, too. :3

Maybe with us forcing ourselves to write we'll get something neat done!

I hope so! It'll be cool to see what creativity awesomeness stems from this.

I don't do daily... felt like it is too short a time frame for a goal.
Monthly seems better. XD

Woohoo, Gwena!

@Rette: xDD! I mean small daily goals in order to meet the monthly goal. But I guess still no?

I have no idea what I'm going to write about. I'm horrible with thinking up stuff before writing it. I just like to start it and let it unfold.

erm... no. Daily goal don't appeal to me.
For something that require 'short' time frame, task base goal is more appealing.
Like... I have to reach chapter 3 FAST!

I've been so busy that I haven't had time to plan or even think of a concept to write about for NaNo...

Well, you can try the Discovery Type.
Write what you thought at that time. Explore the stories without planning. Let the story unfold itself.

Even jotting down different ideas is good.

Ooooh, a NaNo hangout. :D

I dunno if I'm going to doing it this, since I have a lot of school work to take of, and I don't even know what I'll be writing (though I've narrowed it down to at least two stories that have been floating around in my head for a while.) Last year I did fine up until the second week, and then everything collapsed in on itself and failed.

Best of luck to everyone, regardless!

Rebelbel~ you can attempt lesser goals. Not necessary 50k words.
As long as you get things done!

Longlong, I don't find that a 'worry'?
Mine don't even take place in the earth. :3

We're at less than one week until go-time!

Well it looks like I'll have good company in this "I still don't know what I'm writing" boat. I just threw on the "Fantasy" title because it was rather broad. :P

I've been trying to convince people around me to give NaNo a go even if they're not sure they'll finish because once you start and you get somewhere with it you're that much further to finishing it. And writing therapeutic! -- I'm just trying to tempt all of you line-walkers out there (but it is all true!)

I'm kind of lucky, my mom signed up to, all though she sort-of being a rebel too.
She didn't know what she was going to do, but last night at a local nanowrimo gathering she decided to a semi-fictional story about a woman whose family goes through a lot of the same traumas our family has gone through.
