Yukina smiled."yeah i know right?",she said with a huf."so, what did you wnat to eat?"

Yoake looked at the menu. "Hm...I'll just get one of everything." She said, to the stunned looks of both detectives.

Hiro looked to Yukina."shes as bad as you"

Yukina shot him a look."shhut up",she said then smiled at her."that sounds good"

Yoake smiled. "Great. Extra sweets for me, then." She said, placing her order.

Yukina laughed lightly.Then put the pile of files off to the side and looked over the menu and placed her order. "so Hinata Komitsu, when growing up,do you remember hearing about the "Kira" Case's? she asked looking to her.

Hiro nearly choked on his water."why bring that old thing up?"

Yoake blinked and her brow furrowed. "Only several years after the fact; I was small when they were active. I was born only about four years before it resolved." Just before my father, L, was killed. She thought to herself. "But I have read through them. Or at least, the ones the public has access to." And a few that they don't, thanks to being able to ninja-hack....

Yukina pulled out a file."good you know , some things at least",she said setting the file down."this, hasn't been released to the public ,for obvious reasons, but ...lately there's been a a few hand full of murders .... all of witch , resemble the Kira cases ",she said softly. "all the victims are criminals .... and they all have done things that are beyond out of the ordinary",she said opening it up." they were all replaced by bribes to the court systems ... ",she said softly." witch i guess in this copy cats case make s them criminals too",she said spreading out a few files.

Hiro frowned."a copy cat.... you mean the killer...may have a death note?",he said the last part quietly.

Yukina slowly nodded."yes..... it appears like that"

"A Death Note copycat...I believe that these 'Death Notes' look like this, correct?" Yoake said, bringing up an image on her tablet and showing it to the two detectives.

Yukina nodded."yea that be the one",she said with a huf."if the death note has really come back again, then we have a problem",she said and looked as all hier food came.

Yoake smiled at the food. The waiter looked a bit bemused, but just shook his head as Yoake started in on the chocolate cake first thing. "Big problem indeed." She said, gulping down the cake. "And I'm presuming the latest L is working on the case, yes?"

Yukina grinned."well i hope she will be",she said looking to her.

Yoake's eyes narrowed. "How can you know the current L's gender? Nobody's supposed to know anything about him or her." She said, starting on her chicken wrap now that she was done with her chocolate cake.

Yukina smiled."i was hopeing youd be our L",she said smilng.

Yoake froze mid-chew. She gulped down her mouthful before replying, "Can't you just ask the current L? After all, there can't very easily be two Ls running around, or things will get...complicated."

Do they know about my past? Yoake thought to herself. She didn't look much like her late father, but according to her mother she had his appetite for sweets, and the lankiness even though she was in her twenties.

"we have no current L at the moment",Yukina said sighing."thats why i was hopeing ud be ou L",she said softly stareing at her coffee.

No current L...I guess that's no surprise. He's a freaking recluse anyway. Yoake thought. "Any particular reason you'd want me to be L?"

Yukina smiled and pulled out a file full of her records and accomplishments."this is why",she said patting it.

Yoake froze, with her coffee cup halfway to her mouth. "How did you get those?" She asked. "Nobody is supposed to have those documents except me." Gods, I hope they don't know the truth of my lineage....

Hiro smiled."Yukina is a hacker...when she needs to be"

Yukina laughed nervoulsly.

And clearly she's no slouch. "What else do you have on me?" Yoake asked. "Other than all that data."

Yukina blinked."well nothing, i just did some back ground stuff ....i dont want to get to personal"

Hiro looked to her."right..."

Yoake wasn't sure if she believed that fully, so she took it with a grain of salt. Though, from the looks of it, the other woman and her companion didn't know who her father was. "So, you want me to be your L. This means that you're having hell trying to figure out what's going on with this new Kira with another Death Note. This also means that you've run out of options, and are turning to the only person you can think of, even though you obtained the information on said person illegally. Anything else?"
