I'm usually nervous in these threads because I rarely ever actually know anyone o.o
But to be honest... I rarely check the front page anywhere on mene...

I check the front page of a lot of threads, if they are interesting. And also sometimes look at older posts, when I have nothing else to do

I haven't updated the front page since I created this honestly. Mostly people come in for the new ci. Also sorry for late responses I'm at a convention.

What was it like? What sorts of stuff do you do there? I've never been to an American convention before. :o

Never been to any convention >_> truth is, I don't really understand what a convention is, I've never seen one and I don't know

It was very packed and busy. Enjoyable, but super tiring. We did a ton of walking the floor and watched a few of the smaller panels. We didn't bother trying to get in to the larger panels because the line to get in was averaging about 10 hours and nothing seems worth that much of my time haha.

We did play some dnd and magic since they has stuff they were giving away for free if you tried them out. We also demoed all the new Nintendo games coming out later this year. Smash brothers was pretty good, but I don't care for the new sonic boom game.. we also went to the showing of the cosplay mascarade. That was really interesting. They had a party after that was fun and some rocky horror picture show thing showing, but I didn't quite understand that part.

Ummm...Mostly I just ran around collecting swag for five days lmao. Which was somewhat disappointing since the amount they give out has changed so much over the years.

Conventions are...well its mostly way too many people shoved into a not-quiet-big-enough super building all looking at new and exciting things for "insert hobby/interest" here. I honestly have more fun at CES than comic con, but I tend to like technology a lot more than comics and such. Actually...I like the comics and such but movies and TV shows have all been added and i generally have no clue what's going on with those haha

Haha yeah, I don't think they give out stuff as much these days anymore. I remember going to a rodeo event all those years ago and got a bagful of key chain rings and pens and etc, nowadays I doubt you'd get that much.

Yeah, I think the tickets sold out in 90 minutes this year. If you know someone with pre-reg they can get into both lines (only someone with a badge can get items from the first line, but more people= more chances). We literally had like 10 people sign into computers this year to get in. Only two of us managed before the tickets sold out, but we only had 5 people going so it wasn't so bad. Just need to recruit peeps to log in for you.

Hall H is Hall Hell. Haha. The big panels are great if you get in and don't wait a bajillion hours for them. The smaller panels are charming though and often times more hilarious than the larger ones and you can generally watch the bigger ones on youtube anywho. We did I think 4 or 5 smaller panels this year. One was doctor horrible which is just fun because everyone is singing along and doing a costume contest and such. We also did a voice actors one where famous voice actors demonstrated their talents and answered questions and such about how they got where they are and whatnot. Super cool and super interesting that one was. It's insane how fast they can switch between voices and even hold conversations with the different ones. We went to a sharknado 2 panel, but that was by accident...UM, Oh we did the cartoon drawing panel which was hilarious too. Just had a few animation artists drawing stuff on the fly based on games set up by the moderator. They had like halo and blizzard and such too for the smaller panels.

That sounds amazing.
We don't have separate halls like that around, mostly it's just lots and lots of stalls with people selling their merchandise.

Yeah, from what I heard, people had been queuing up outside Hall H over ten hours before it opened, that's pretty insane. Though then again at conventions here some people start waiting outside the place like three days before the event started so I guess there're a lot of crazies like that around.
