1. The Sand Witch Mountains - A large mountain range in The Desert, a place merely named for the dryness and heat suffusing it.
2. Nibyna - A large port city on the edge of The Desert, very much a merchant's and tourist's paradise.
3. Sumarne - A port city some half a day and night's journey from Nibyna. A seedier place of darker, more exotic exports with a more quiet, laid back section further from the docks where everyday people live.
Sword's Story:
1. "Yalmire was not a city known for more than its vices. Gambling, the trade of flesh, and exotic drugs were the realest currency the city dealt in. Only those with nowhere else to possibly go and those with no interest in being decent living beings lived there. There were the few and powerful presiding over the many and desperate, foolish and addicted." (Quote.)

1. Vania - The Water-Cat. Devious creatures, they are living water that normally takes the form of smaller felines to mingle freely and unnoticed among humans. They have very strong connections with reflective surfaces and the magics associated with those surfaces. They can be a type of familiar, if they deem a witch worthy of their attentions. They rarely give their real names even among their own kind. They will even bewitch a parent to ensure their real name remains their own alone. They can shift forms, normally into fluid. Though while the shape of the smaller feline is secondary, the shape of a much larger feline, or great cat, is third.
2. Sword - A Thief of Magic, he literally steals magic and spells from witches, storing it in his staff. They can loose power or forget spells entirely when he steals them away. He has been a high ranking thief of Sumarne for nearly ten years with a band of nearly twenty thieves at his beck and call at any given time. Debt collectors, thugs and other dishonest folk rarely bother the magically charged thief, who's only real personal gift is sensing the power in others.

alrighty so we have this set up 'rubs eyes' that's.. good. but yeah think i have a cavity or something.. cause my upper teeth area sorta aches.. and its been ticking me off.
its not the tental plan its the fact i don't ahve people able to take me. Josh SLEEPS IN all friggen day..hence i havne't had a ride to go in for the teeth op i need.
i've been dealign with lone..since i woke up..he signed on about .. well not SINCE i woke up but close to it.. he left a 'sorry message' as you can read in the upper 'boxes' i copied and pasted the whole conversation and posted it in those things.
I saw that. At least he seems to be on the creative ball this morning. Hey, the sooner he finishes that game, the sooner he can make money and support his girls (girlfriend and friend).
You get brownies. Brownies are good. He is starting to pick up on the details he needs to make a world 'living'. The most important rule to teach him this this.
The more you make a world viable, the more believable it is. A writer walks a fine line, we have to make it as near to a factual world and time as possible before we warp it to our desires and needs for a story. It's what makes the audience buy into the story.
true..like the fundamental rules of gravity. what goes up MUST go down. even on another planet unless it lacks a ozone, or its weaker say the moon? no ozone so what goes up.. keeps right on going.. if its LARGE like say earth sie.then it has gravity..and those rules would apply..
One detail can, indeed, lead to a dozen more. Like the other day when we were doing a sci-fi rp. I described a planet that turned slow near a star. That meant it had to be a very large planet and I also described what effect that slow rotation had on the surface. One detail led to others. Things do, indeed, grow on their own. It's organic and natural, it also makes absolute sense when you do it just right. Fantasy worlds work on a similar logic, once you know what you're doing. It just takes known a single core rule to create others. Authors can make things make total sense to a reader no matter how strange. It's the making sense part that makes a story famous and popular.
