Ha ha, it's true. I've waited a month for a post before (actually several times). But it was a great post so the wait was worth it. Great things do come in time. I find when I read something and step back for a bit, I'll have more ideas and things to write about when I come back. It's why I sometimes vanish for a bit before I post. I like to play out scenarios in my mind and then I write down the one that sounds the coolest. Like right now I'm trying to figure out how I want Allen to handle talking about his wife.
Duke's posting thought process (varies from character to character):
Option 1
-No thought process really needed. The character and theme already have inspiration in my head and words just flow
-Not very common
Option 2
-Go over what previous people/person's posted and react to that, can involve words/actions/thoughts
-Add a bit more to move story forward
-Can involved playing out scenarios
-Sometimes requires music
-Sometimes requires silence (tried to write a post for a character with music for Xavi and it failed, I needed it quiet for her)
-Write pictures. I am a visual person so when I'm writing a post, I see what I'm writing in my head and I try to add what details I find important to keep everyone on the same page
My posts and orders all vary. Sometimes I'll have a group of characters I'm having fun with so I post all the time, but there are times where those characters hit a point that I'm not sure what to write and those posts can take a while. I don't try to get everything out at once; if I can't come up with something I'm proud of then I just wait or end up redoing posts in the end.
This also reminds me that I need to make my Betrayal character profiles on WTF still >.>
*shrugs* I was just writing how my thought process goes with posting. I know everyone has their own techniques and I find it interesting to talk about them. Just like I get weird phases where all I want to do is read character profiles XD
