"Oh! Hey!" Darcy plopped herself down on the couch with the girls and reached over for the bottle of Mudslide. "Awesome, the good stuff." She beamed . "So, you gonna let me drag you into Tasha's room against your will for a girls' night?"

"Um?" Doreen looked bewildered for a few moments. "I... hadn't realized that was an option?" She glanced at Natasha almost worriedly. The spy just quirked an eyebrow.

"Well, it is," Darcy said. She grinned. "Come on, girls' night is great, we get to sit around and do girly things and bitch about ridiculous pet superheroes."

"Ridiculous pet superheroes?" Laurel echoed, blinking.

"Yup!"

"Okay, Natasha, yes, I can see Natasha doing that," Doreen said. "And you, you are fearless and you Tased Thor so, yes, you too." She waved a hand between her and Laurel. "But us?"

"You're girls," Natasha pointed out, sounding amused. "Therefore you are invited to girls' night. If nothing else, we can all bitch about Tony."

"Hey!" Tony spluttered. "Remember who is providing the alcohol and the rooms and almost everything else for this girls' night!"

Laurel blinked, and then jumped when a trio of Roombas buzzed through the room.

"Will it be a Roomba-free environment?" she asked.

"Yes." Natasha threw some rice for the Roombas to eat. "They're not allowed in my room and they know it."

"I'm there," Laurel replied. She still wasn't used to the Roombas.

"Sure," Doreen agreed after a moment. "Why not?"

Natasha smiled faintly but didn't head back immediately. After dinner and dessert were finished they could go.

Darcy barely waited until after dinner.

"Come on," she said to the girls, pulling them to their feet. "The chocolate can come with us, it's practically required for girls' night, so let's go."

Doreen snorted but picked up the chocolate and followed Darcy back towards Natasha's room. Natasha stretched languidly and followed them.

Laurel just followed Doreen, carrying her own plate of chocolate.

"So girls' night," she said as she cautiously stepped into Natasha's room. The room was meticulously clean, almost spartan in its decoration, and part of one wall was covered in a truly spectacular nail polish collection. "Wow."

Natasha smirked and dragged a clear plastic bin out from under the bin with all sorts of hair treatment products.

Doreen just blinked a few times.

"You sure you're a Russian assassin and not some sort of... makeover... goddess?" Laurel asked, looking at the awe-inspiring array of beauty products. Darcy snorted.

"Tasha has all the best stuff," she said.

Tasha smirked and walked over to the wall of nail polish, looking at each girl critically before pulling out the colors.

"Darcy," she said, handing over the colors for Doreen. "You know what to do."

Darcy's grin was positively wicked as she pounced on Doreen.

"Sit still," she said. "This'll be easier if you don't squirm."

Doreen held still, mostly because she didn't want to be covered in nail polish.

"What exactly did we just sign up for?"

Natasha, much more calmly, sat in front of Laurel and quirked an eyebrow at her.

"I'm not sure," Laurel replied as she held out a hand to Natasha without question. She knew not to refuse the assassin. Darcy just snickered.

"Makeovers, chocolate, and gossip," she said.

"Should be entertaining." Doreen grinned and settled in, watching what Darcy did with interest.

Natasha just smiled a bit and worked on Laurel's nails.

Darcy quickly put a dark red base coat onto Doreen's nails. While that was drying, she reached for some silver glitter and clear top coat.

Laurel watched what Natasha was doing, making sure not to move while the assassin was painting. Laurel knew better than to smudge her nails.

Doreen blinked at the colors but then shrugged a bit. Eh, sure, okay, why not.

"You're more patient than Darcy," Natasha commented, finishing one set of nails and moving on to her other hand.

Darcy grinned and started to carefully place silver glitter on Doreen's right ring finger. It took a little while, but she managed to get the glitter to look like silver scales going half-way up from the base of the nail. Then she gave it a layer of top coat and started on the left side.

"I'm used to getting my nails done," Laurel admitted. "I used to get acrylics done once or twice a month, until I got tired of them."

Doreen peered at her nails. "Neat. I like that." She grinned. "You're good at this."

"Trust me, we're better than most nail salons." Natasha smirked faintly. "I've been meaning to talk to you, by the way. About settling in."

"I don't get to do it often," Darcy said. She grinned. "Jane won't let me do it to her and she's the only other girly company I get when Tasha's not around."

"What about it?" Laurel asked cautiously.

Doreen laughed a little at that. "Well, I don't mind if you want to practice on me," she said cheerfully.

"You two still seem reserved." And, you know, Natasha was really not one to talk about that, but she could pester others about it. "Any problems?"

"Awesome," Darcy said. She grinned a wicked grin. "I have a whole stash of different glitters."

"We're settling in alright, I guess," Laurel said, not entirely sure what other answer Natasha was looking for. "I mean, nobody really expected us to be bouncing off the walls and vibrating with excitement after the first week or so, right?"
