Doreen blinked at that. Okay, she hadn't expected that. "I... Yeah. I'd like that."

Thor grinned.

"Soon, then," he said. They didn't need to plan an exact outing right that minute.

Doreen nodded, inexplicably pleased, and headed into the tower.

"Do you think you'll be in trouble for this?"

"Probably," Thor replied, shrugging a bit. "But it matters not. Father cannot deny my reasoning, and Mother will take my side, I'm sure. And, as troops have not been sent to forcibly retrieve Loki and I, Father cannot be too angry."

"Yet," Doreen muttered. "You can always blame me, if it'll help."

Thor blinked.

"Never," he said. "It would be dishonorable to give up a comrade like that. No, the choice was mine, and so will be the consequences."

Doreen chuckled. "I see your sense of honor hasn't changed from this most recent misadventure."

Thor grinned a bit.

"I've always enjoyed a good misadventure," he replied. "I have not suffered for them yet, nor has anything else."

"Misadventures are fun when they're not harmful," Doreen agreed.

"Indeed," Thor said. He held out a hand to her. "Come, we should see what Clint and Bruce have prepared in the kitchen this evening."

Doreen nodded and took his hand, grinning briefly at the reminder of his huge his hands were and letting him lead the way up to the living area.

Up in the living area, Laurel was tapping away at a keyboard, trying to keep up with the flood of messages and reblogs that were coming in to their blog. There were several pictures being passed around that she was monitoring, and a few that she had put up herself. Clearly, the crisis had been avoided, and now it was time for speculation.

Doreen detoured briefly to go see what Laurel was up to, grimacing briefly when she saw the blog. "So how many pictures am I in?" she asked.

"Different pictures? I've counted six," Laurel replied, grinning. "Ten thousand hits so far, and counting."

"Well, that was to be expected," Doreen agreed. "And hey, the world is still the same, so I'm counting that as a success."

"You're internet-famous," Laurel pointed out, snickering. "They're already speculating on who you are and why you were with Thor."

Doreen groaned. "There goes anonymity," she grumbled. "Oh well. It was worth it."

"So what happened?" Laurel asked, grinning. "All I've been able to piece together is a date got crashed in favor of storytime."

"It wasn't a date," Doreen said, blushing a little. "We hit a farmers' market and then sat out at the park, and I noticed a bunch of people standing around watching, and I figured it would be good PR to let them come chat. Not to mention good for Thor, since he likes people."

"From everyone else's point of view, it was a date-crash," Laurel said, grinning. "And it sounds like it was a date-crash. I mean, farmer's market and the park, that's practically a dinner date."

"Without the dinner and without the date," Doreen said. "Although if everyone else sees it as a date, speculation is going to be flying until something more interesting comes up."

"Speculation's been flying since before you got back," Laurel said, pulling up the blog. A bunch of hashtags were there: #ThorsDate, #MysteryDate, #StorytimeWithThor, and others that were similar.

Doreen snorted. "Well, this'll be interesting," she murmured. "Think I should hide in here for a bit?"

"Definitely," Laurel said, nodding. "Lay low for a while, give them time to analyze everything to death first."

Doreen sighed but nodded. "Alright," she agreed. "Guess you guys will be getting a few pastries."
