"Yeah, that doesn't surprise me at all. But she is very tolerant of silliness, when it suits her. And she's a grammar Nazi." Doreen grinned.

"Yeah, I dare you to say that to her face," Clint retorted, smirking. "I dare you. Because she'd really put you on the floor for that one."

"Nope I like my nice pale hide unbruised, thank you," Doreen said primly with a grin.

Clint snickered.

"Smart girl, I like that," he praised.

Doreen grinned. "I do try," she said. "Although it helps that you have been pretty awesome."

"Me? Nah," Clint said, shaking his head. "Nothing real special about me, I've just got good eyes, that's all."

"Well, there's that. But I meant more you've been awesome about us being here." Doreen shrugged. "Lots of people would have ignored us or just let us do our thing with no unnecessary interaction."

Clint shrugged again. He had no real answer for that one.

"Coulson likes you," he pointed out.

Doreen snorted. "Coulson liking someone is basically a get out of jail free card."

"Hey, worked for us," Clint pointed out, grinning. "How do you think me and Nat got this far?"

"Bribery, trickery, and Coulson," Doreen replied deadpan. "And Fury occasionally looking the other way."

"Pretty much," Clint replied, grinning. "Mostly Coulson, and some bribery."

Doreen nodded. "Yup, sounds about right." She shook her head, grinning. "You and Natasha both got so lucky."

Clint snorted.

"She got lucky," he said. "I was just obnoxious enough nobody else wanted to deal with me."

"That makes so much sense. No wonder all the other handlers melt a little at the mention of you." Doreen grinned.

"I made one of the SHIELD shrinks cry," Clint said, giving a shit-eating grin. "And medical still hates my face."

Doreen laughed a little. "I'm really not surprised," she said, grinning. "Uncooperative, grumbly, mouthy, highly dangerous, what's for them not to like?"

Clint snickered.

"Oh I definitely like you," he said, grinning. "Maybe you and I can even sweet-talk Phil into upping your clearance a bit, I want to see what people think about the Roombas. And Phil likes you enough that he might actually consider it for a minute."

"Minute and a half if I throw in pastries," Doreen said with a shit-eating grin. "And we can totally get pictures of just a single Roomba and see how people react to that, you know, test material and all."

Clint snorted.

"A single Roomba?" he asked. "Boring. C'mon, we've got a whole fleet of them, think a bit bigger here."

"No, we use the single Roomba as a test. If people don't freak out too much over the single Roomba, then we give them the fleet in action." Doreen grinned. "Given a half-way decent introduction and a funny video, people will adjust to almost anything."

Clint raised an eyebrow.

"And you're sure this will work?" he asked.

"Nope," Doreen said. "Not at all. Well, okay, I have a pretty good feeling it will, but I'm not certain. Just saying that if I got permission to release news of the Roombas to the public, that's how I'd do it."

Clint grinned wickedly.

"Phil has a soft spot for apple turnovers," he advised her. "And Thor uses an ironing board to Roomba-surf at least once a week."

"Apple turnovers. I can make those." Doreen grinned. "I'm on house arrest for a bit until Tumblr stops speculating over me, so any requests for food stuffs?"
