"Tony?" Sam asked. "Like Tony Stark? Stark Industries Tony Stark?" He grinned. Oh that was going to be a fun meeting. Sam briefly wondered if Stark himself had invented the technology Sam had used overseas.

"The same," Steve said, grinning at his look. "Come on, come meet him. I can tell you want to."

"You're damn right I do," Sam said, grinning. "Remind me to tell you what exactly I did while I was in the Middle East."

Steve shot him a curious look. "You said you were a pilot." He started to walk towards the tower, taking his time for now.

Sam grinned.

"I never said 'pilot,'" he said. "Just that I had a wingman. Look up the specs of the EXO-7 Falcon sometime."

Steve blinked a bit but made a mental note to look it up when they got back to the tower.

"You going to explain that or just leave me to look it up?"

"I'm'a make you go look it up," Sam said, grinning. "Come on, that's half the fun. You'll understand when you see it."

Steve heaved a longsuffering sigh but grinned. He didn't mind. Too much.

"Here we are," he said several minutes later when they arrived at the tower. He headed straight back to the private elevator.

"I hope you know how awesome this is," Sam said, looking around in awe. "Because this is really damn awesome."

Steve laughed a little and shook his head. "You'll get used to it," he said. "Jarvis, let the others know I'm on my way up with a guest. Sam, this is Jarvis. Jarvis, this is Sam Wilson. He's a friend."

"Of course, Captain Rodgers," Jarvis said. "Good afternoon, Mr. Wilson."

Sam was a bit dumbfounded for a moment.

"Okay, that's just cool," he said. "There are no words for how cool that is."

Steve laughed outright at that. "I'm glad you think so, you've just endeared yourself to Tony forever."

"Today's just getting better and better," Sam said, grinning.

Steve grinned when the elevator opened on the main floor of their living area, and he stepped out, glancing around to see who was around.

Laurel was on the main floor, sitting in front of a hologram screen and sifting through a fresh batch of pictures.

"Hey, Steve," she greeted, glancing over. "I'm guessing that's the Sam Wilson person Jarvis just announced."

"Yup." Steve grinned a bit. "Sam, this is Laurel."

Dori poked her head out of the kitchen. "And I'm Doreen," she called, stirring more cookie dough.

"Hey," Sam greeted. "Didn't know they had any women hanging around her besides Romanov."

"We're not Avengers," Laurel said. "We're just the PR department."

"They're good at their jobs," Steve said, moving into the living room. He could tell Clint was up in the vents, Bruce and Tony were probably in the lab at a guess, but he wasn't sure about Natasha and Bucky.

"Must be, to keep up with you all," Sam said as he followed Steve. "Where is everyone?"

"Sir and Dr. Banner are in the lab," Jarvis answered. "Agent Barton is likely somewhere in the vents. Agent Romanoff and Mr. Barnes are down in the gym but have told me to inform you that they will be up shortly."

"I will never get over how awesome that is," Sam said as he looked around. He couldn't find any obvious speakers or cameras, but that didn't mean they weren't there. He was definitely impressed by the technology.

Steve snorted but went to go settle on the couch.

"Want a cookie?" Dori asked, grinning at the two. "Or anything to drink?"

"I'm good," Sam replied. He looked over when he heard the elevator doors open and his eyes widened when Natasha and Bucky stepped out.

Natasha smirked faintly at him. "I see the fossil managed to persuade you," she said, sounding amused. Dori snickered at them, setting the cookie dough aside for the moment to bring out a plate of snickerdoodles anyway.

Laurel also snickered, moving over to make room as Bucky sat down and popped his metal arm off to clean it. It was always fascinating to watch.

Steve rolled his eyes.

"Very funny," he said.
