"No problem," Bucky said, grinning a bit. "Felt good to sight down a scope again to protect someone."

"I heard," Laurel said. "I'm not surprised, actually, all things considered."

"I bet." Doreen grinned. "So how are you? No bumps or bruises?" Not that she was concerned, after all, but she felt entitled to ask.

"It's been a while since he's been on the field," Steve agreed, getting down mugs.

"I'm fine," Bucky said. "I was up out of the way, remember? Sniper."

"I'm not surprised he's fussing over her," Laurel said, looking at him. "They're kind of attached to one another."

"Yeah but even snipers get targeted," Doreen said, shaking her head. "But as long as you're fine..."

"They are," Steve said, actually grinning. "It's good to see."

"In as many pieces as I started in, promise," Bucky said.

"They're good for each other," Laurel agreed, smiling. "He gives her someone to take care of."

"Good." Doreen smiled. "Come on, let's go get some water and snacks."

"And she gives him someone else to focus on and protect. She's helped him quite a bit." Steve smiled. "I'm glad."

Bucky considered that for a moment before nodding and motioning for her to lead the way.

"So am I," Laurel said. And, possibly, slightly jealous, but she would never admit that aloud.

Doreen grabbed his right wrist and towed him to the elevator and up to the kitchen area so she could make some snacks.

Steve looked over when he saw the elevator door open and grinned broadly before he got a mug of coffee to hide his grin.

Bucky let her pull him upstairs, carefully ignoring the smirk he could see on Steve's face, even behind the mug.

Laurel saw them as well and grinned a bit. She turned back to the screen for a moment so she wouldn't start giggling.

Doreen deposited him in a chair and went to go start on snacks and fetch him a mug of coffee. She also studiously ignored the looks from Steve and Laurel.

Steve shared a grin with Laurel, because clearly those two were just too darn cute.

Bucky rolled his eyes a bit and sat down, letting her have her turn fussing now.

Laurel just hoped Jarvis was catching all of it, because it was just too good to miss.

"Don't give me that look, I'm just feeding you and your hummingbird-on-crack metabolism," Dori said with a bit of a grin, setting his coffee down in front of him.

"I didn't give you a look," Bucky replied. He smirked. "I can, though, if you want." He waggled his eyebrows at her.

Dori laughed. "Oh no, a look," she said, grinning and waggling her eyebrows right back at him. "Whatever am I going to do with myself?"

Bucky couldn't help it, he started laughing. It was the first time that had happened pretty much since Steve had brought him to the tower to begin with.

Dori grinned, pleased at having made him laugh, and went to go get the snacks. She left some by Steve too.

Steve was grinning as he watched the two. Oh this was so, so good.

Bucky grabbed a couple of the snacks and began to munch on them. Then he paused, looked at the snacks, and then at Doreen.

"These are really good," he said.

"Good." Doreen grinned. "I'm glad you approve." Especially since she'd just thrown them together. "I've got more too."

"Good, 'cause these are amazing," Bucky said, working his way through the plate.

Dori snorted and shook her head a bit, going back into the kitchen to get a few more snacks for him before she started on dinner. She figured she might as well.

Laurel looked at Steve.

"That's never happened before, has it?" she murmured to him. "They were actually flirting."

"They were flirting," Steve agreed. "And no, that's never happened. He used to be a big flirt, before."

"Interesting," Laurel said. "Maybe he's coming back even more."

"It wouldn't surprise me," Steve said. "Those two are definitely good for one another." Clearly he was pleased.

"They really are," Laurel agreed nodding.
