"Looks?" Bucky asked, looking up from his glass. "What looks?" Because he definitely hadn't noticed anything.

Steve smirked. "Looks," he answered evasively. "You'd know if you were paying attention. Or I could tell you... if you asked her out."

"That's playing dirty," Bucky accused. "Besides, if anyone's getting looks, it's you."

"It is not playing dirty, and what do you mean, I'm getting looks?" Steve gave him a bit of a look.

Bucky snorted.

"You've never noticed that dame you're always hanging around making eyes at you?" he asked.

Steve was quiet for a moment.

"Thought that was just wishful thinking," he said after a few moments. "But at least that's better than you."

"Wishful thinking?" Bucky asked. "No, there's no way that's all in your head, Stevie, she's definitely got her eye on you." He grinned. "Maybe you should take her on a date. Go dancing."

"I can't dance," Steve pointed out. "At least you can." He shook his head a bit. "I'd probably have more luck taking her out to a diner or something."

"Not even sure I know how anymore," Bucky admitted. "I bet you can dance, though, it wasn't hard. I'm sure you can learn."

"Maybe, maybe not," Steve said with a shrug. "Besides, dancing is something you'll remember as you go along." Then he grinned. "I'll try dancing with Laurel if you take Doreen out dancing."

Bucky looked at Steve for a second before nodding.

"Deal," he said. "No backing out."

"Deal." Steve grinned. "Within the next week, so long as nothing else interferes."

Bucky nodded.

"Good," he said. "You need to go out on a date, Stevie. It's about time."

Steve rolled his eyes. "Right, right. Well, soon. And we'll see how it goes."

Bucky nodded and finished his mead. He was definitely more than a bit buzzed at that point.

"So'd you really punch a Viking?" he asked after a second. "First time you had this stuff."

"I did." Steve grinned. "He was hitting on people and I was annoyed. And a little drunk."

"Only a little?" Bucky asked, grinning. Because he knew Steve, the man would have to be smashed to start hitting people.

"Maybe more than a little," Steve admitted with a grin. "I didn't realize how potent this stuff is." He didn't look all that upset, though.

Bucky couldn't help but snicker.

"No kidding," he said. "Y'always were a lightweight, Stevie."

Steve snorted at that and shook his head. "Not so much now," he said, grinning. "Besides, the mead's going to your head too."

"Prob'ly," Bucky agreed easily, nodding a bit. "Good stuff."

Steve grinned and leaned back in his seat. "Easy to drink," he agreed.

"Yeah," Bucky agreed. He snickered. "Not like that time I snuck us some whiskey out of the cabinet that first time."

Steve snorted. "That was terrible," he said with a grin. "Really, really terrible."

"Yes it was," Bucky agreed. "The mead's real good, though. The... Whaddayacallem... Asgardians, they know how to do good alcohol."
