Steve shrugged a bit and settled in with his coffee. He still didn't get it, but then, he suspected he never would.

Laurel toyed with her coffee a bit as she worked on it.

"Bucky seems to be doing alright now," she commented after a little while of silence.

"He is doing much better," Steve agreed with a little grin. "And he's supposed to be asking Doreen out on a date soon." And he would keep reminding Bucky until he asked.

"Supposed to be?" Laurel asked, raising an eyebrow. "Not that I object, they're good for each other, but when was this decision made?"

"We had a talk," Steve said with a little shrug. "Helps us both out sometimes, especially since he's being cautious. I told him to ask her out."

"Ah," Laurel said. She grinned a bit. "Then he'd better get a move on, I bet Dori's just waiting for it."

Steve grinned. "She looks like she wants to," he agreed. "I'll go remind him later on." Not that he was in a rush to get back. He was enjoying the quiet time.

"If he drags his feet much more, she might just ask him out herself," Laurel said, grinning a bit. "It wouldn't surprise me."

Steve grinned at that. "He would never live that down," he said, grinning. "Dames are not supposed to ask guys out, the guy is supposed to ask the dame."

"In the forties, maybe," Laurel replied, grinning back. "It's 2014, women ask men out all the time."

"That may be, but Buck will never go for it," Steve said with a grin. "It would almost be worth it to see the look on his face if she asked him out first."

"Then we'll just have to see who cracks first," Laurel said. She finished her coffee and stretched a bit.

"We'll see," Steve agreed with a little grin. "Is there anything else you want to do while we're out?"

"Nothing comes to mind," Laurel said, shaking her head a bit. "We don't have to head back just yet, though." Because she was actually enjoying being out of the tower for a while.

Steve nodded and finished off his coffee. He was just fine with sitting and relaxing for a while.

Laurel watched out the window for a while, making note of people who passed by and did double-takes when they noticed Steve.

"You know, now that we're out and about, I kind of want to go somewhere," she finally said, looking at him. "I just still have no idea what's around."

"Lots of coffee, lots of little stores, a few theaters, a museum not too far from here, a few parks..." Steve shrugged. "Although the parks will be busy this time of day."

"Yeah, no, not the parks," Laurel said, making a face. She wasn't in the mood for the park at the moment. But a museum wasn't a bad idea... "Maybe we could go hit up a museum or something?"

"Art or history?" Because those were the two types in the area, and her answer would determine which direction they went.

"Either one," Laurel said, shrugging. "Doesn't matter which, both are good." And, if she were being honest, she had a fairly good idea of which one he would suggest they go to. He seemed to have a thing for art.

Steve nodded and got up. "Alright. We'll go this way, then." He was in more of an art mood than a history mood today. Sometimes he was in more of a history mood, but he was well aware he could get spacey and weird with history, and he didn't want to do that to her.

Laurel nodded and followed him. She figured he knew where he was going better than she would. She would end up getting them lost if she took the lead, she just knew it.

Steve led her to a small art museum, holding the door open for her. It was a nice, quiet little museum, with not a lot of guests, and tactful docents who were nice enough to keep quiet when Captain America stopped in for an afternoon.

The museum had a surprisingly relaxing atmosphere, and Laurel could feel herself unwinding as they walked around.

"I'm so less than surprised that you picked this one," she teased Steve gently. "Do any of the others know you have a thing for art?"

"I'm sure they do," Steve said with a little grin. "I'm sketching all the time, and I know they've seen some things. Besides, I live with Natasha, who knows everything everyone does."
