"Yeah, that took a bit of getting used-to," Laurel said, nodding. It was weird, at first, but now she didn't think much about Natasha knowing everything.

Steve nodded. "Yeah, I remember. At least she's nice, she likes you two." Because he'd seen her when she didn't like someone, and he really pitied the person.

"And I'm grateful for that," Laurel said. "I know there aren't many people she likes, so I'm glad Dori and I count."

Steve nodded. "It's hard to really like people, sometimes," he said quietly. "I don't mind people, but they can be a bit pushy. Sometimes they even annoy me. It's hard to find people who can actually relate."

"I know how that feels," Laurel said, nodding. "People can be difficult."

Steve nodded. Another reason he liked spending time with her; she got things. It was refreshing.

Laurel's phone buzzed at her, and she checked it. Then she snickered and held it out so Steve could see the picture of them that had been submitted to the blog. Apparently, someone had snapped it while they were standing in line to pay for admission.

"You've been spotted again," she teased.

Steve rolled his eyes. Really, he did not get this obsession to find out where he was all the time.

"Oh, someone made the connection from the coffee shop," Laurel murmured as she went through the latest comments. She pointed one out to him:

who is she?

"And you're back on the radar," Steve said. "You were doing pretty well for a while staying out of public sight."

"We'll see how far the speculation goes," Laurel said, putting her phone away again. "I doubt any of them know who I am, just that I've been seen with you."

"Right," Steve said. "Just be careful, you don't want a swarm of media going after you."

"I'll do my best," Laurel said. She wasn't actively sticking her neck out, after all, so she figured she could keep her head down a while longer.

Steve nodded and let her set the pace for exploring. He'd been to this museum before, after all, so he didn't mind.

Laurel didn't mind moseying along. She wasn't in any sort of rush to see everything, and if she was honest, it was nice to spend this kind of time with Steve.

"Which one is your favorite?" she asked after a little while.

"It's up in this next room, actually," Steve said, glancing at her. "I'm not sure why, exactly, but this one is my favorite." He stopped in front of a painting of a couple on a picnic in front of a lake. The colors were bright and vibrant, and though you couldn't see the couple's faces, you could tell they were relaxed and happy, and the whole scene was calm.

Laurel followed him to the painting. She could see why he liked it: not only were the colors bright, but the scene itself was peaceful. She could just feel how much the couple in the painting loved one another and enjoyed each other's company.

"I like it," she said, glancing at him.

Steve smiled a bit and nodded. "I don't think it's my overall favorite, but in this museum, it is," he said, looking at her.

"I can see why you like it," Laurel said, looking at him in return. "It has this kind of feel to it."

"Yeah," Steve agreed quietly. "It does." He shifted a bit closer to her without thinking about it.

Laurel noticed, and she couldn't help but turn a bit pink.

"Have you ever thought about taking art classes?" she asked, partly to distract herself and partly out of curiosity.

"Thought about it." Steve shrugged. "Took one before the war, it was okay. I hadn't thought about it since I woke up again."

"So basically seventy years ago," Laurel said. She grinned a bit. "You should try again. School has changed a lot since then."

"I bet." Steve shook his head. "I don't know, I just doodle."

"If you sketch as often as you said, you might enjoy an art class," Laurel pointed out. "The community colleges all probably offer at least beginning classes."
