Steve nodded. "Yeah. Some people don't like the combination. Not sure how they don't like it, but oh well. Their loss."

Laurel nodded and went to take a bite of her burger.

"This is amazing," she said, sounding a little surprised and looking at the burger.

Steve grinned and refrained from saying 'I told you so.'

"Best place in town that I've found," he said instead, taking a bite of his burger.

"I'll have to keep this place in mind," Laurel said, grinning. "We definitely need to come back here."

"I'm here at least every other week if not more often," Steve said with a little grin. "You're welcome to come with."

"You sure?" Laurel asked. "I don't want to intrude or anything." It was something of a token protest, at best. She did want to go with him, but she wanted to be sure the invitation was genuine, rather than out of politeness.

Steve snorted. "You're not intruding, and it's better to have company than be sitting here by myself. Most days I don't do too well if I'm left to my own devices for too long."

"As long as you're sure, I'd be glad to come with you," Laurel said. She grinned. "You're stuck with me now, I hope you know that."

"I figured." Steve grinned. "That is definitely not something I have a problem with."

Laurel couldn't help but blush a little bit at that, and she tried to hide it behind her milk shake.

Steve let her, smiling to himself, and went back to his own milk shake and burger.
