Yeah, Steel. Kinda like ginger ale in that sense. Even if now, I prefer ginger beer. It's so much milder than ginger ale. I absolutely recommend everyone trying ginger beer. It isn't alcoholic or anything.

Hummy, yeah. Very sweet. Crystalized ginger can also be called candied ginger. I think so, anyway. That's how my family does it. /shrug

i keep avoiding the 'how am i' question.....but i should address it.
my Godmothers husband, my Zio, has liver cancer.
i kept not wanting to bring mene down so i kind of stayed away.
i just want to say, if you pray or have a belief and can send a good wish for him i would truly appreciate it. i don't want to upset anyone or make a big thing about it. i'm sad and worried and upset. my Godmother is being so strong and he is home for now and not in pain thanks to the pain meds. i'm sorry this is so down, i just didn't want to say okay, or 'how are you' instead.

Ginger has anti inflammatory, procirculatory, and prorelaxant properties which makes it very good for tummy issues. But you have to watch it if you're on an anticoagulant, diabetes, or blood pressure medications. They can interact badly with ginger.

I do love ginger ale, though.

Because of the anticoagulant properties. It can cause excess bleeding and clotting disfunction.

That much is probably okay. Straight ginger in big amounts would be bad.

Yeah, drinking a little for tummy troubles won't do anything to you. Not unless your medication or doctor straight up tells you not to, or something.

There are actually a couple of medications that explicitly state not to take with grapefruit or grapefruit juice because of interactions. I find stuff like that just insane.

Yeah, it seems really weird. Like, what is in grapefruit, specifically, that makes it bad to take?

Grapefruit juice? Here we have something called 'grape mixture' or something which is good for stomach aches. I drink it because it's tasty

I don't know I think it was grape mixture. Or gripe mixture. Not very sure, it looked like water but x100 sweeter

Sugar water, delicious but so bad for you. Hopefully it had nutrients or something. It could be pedialyte?

Grapefruit blocks an intestinal enzyme, which can cause certain medications to be more easily passed through the intestinal wall. Which means the medications do more intestinal damage than they normally would. They're all labeled though, the ones that have that issue.

Haha, I'm like a weird medical knowledge encyclopedia.

Alright friend faces, it's time for me to take a shower and head to bed. My muscles are going to cramp up if I don't get up soon. *hugs*

Hummy, I hope your godmother's husband remains out of pain and that he heals.
