Yeah, it's straight with not even enough road signs to play the alphabet game. >.< We played once, we've done the drive down there, and I'll fly whenever I get the chance. We have enough flyer miles that we don't actually have to pay for the flight -we charge my brother's schooling to my parent's card... we tried playing the alphabet game on signs one time and it took the whole trip, from when we got on the 5 in Sacramento to when we got down to Los Angeles to go from A to Z... -.- That's almost 7 hours. >.<

At least now, I can people watch, and get free wifi. And not have to use my data to get on. :]

Yep! And it's longer sitting in the airport, but the jump from NorCal to SoCal is only an hour instead of 7. So it pays off in the end.

Now I just wait for like another hour... well not quite that long, we do board before our take off time.

Just listening to music, texting friends and on here. :]

Pretty chill, if you ask me~
I think that because I like sightseeing, I prefer driving.

Yeah, it is pretty nice.
I normally don't mind driving - but on 5... No way... I'll fly over drive on 5, any time! >.<
Awww, that sucks! :[ Thankfully I normally don't have any issues flying - I hate turbulence, but that's all. Over all I fly pretty well. I did fly by myself to Australia, so if I can do that, I can do a short hour jump in the same state.

Heh... I'm so tuned into signing, that I see people making hand gestures and automatically think they're signing. They weren't. >.<

Sweetness!! :D I like meeting people who know some sign! :D
People say that I'm fluent, I say that I'm proficient, I'm able to communicate fine most of the time but I still have issues where I just space and forget signs when I need them.

I don't do well with spoken languages, but I'm pretty good with ASL. :]
Jumping back in feet first, been living with people who don't sign for a month, and I'm going back to my deaf-blind roommate, so back to signing I go. (She's legally blind but has a bit of sight so I can sign with her.)

Don't feel sorry for her, she makes the best out of what she's given. :] She's one STRONG determined woman! (Honestly though from what I've seen, it's because people pity her, and always do things for her, that she expects people to always go out of their way for her, and do things instead of trying to do things, and if you don't do them when she asks, she kind of freaks out. >.< I'm not afraid to say "I'm sorry, but I can't do that. I'm busy." Even if it isn't what she wants to hear. I do feel sympathetic to what she's going through and all that, but with her wanting to be independent, but at the same time thinking that people can just drop everything for her at the drop of a hat, isn't cool to me. SO I will stand up and just say "I would love to, but I'm busy. Sorry.")

Mmm, to the point where I am now, a couple years. But there is always more to learn, and the more you just jump in and use it all the time - like I do at school - it helps as you just have no reason not to practice. It is one of those languages that if you don't use it, you most definitely do lose it.

I don't have sympathy for her, I feel empathetic towards her.
I'm a very empathetic person.
I figured she was a strong woman who is taking life by the horns because she has disabilities.
There's no place but up.

Only a couple years?
I really need to practise my spanish more often, then.

Ah, ok. She has moments where it really does get to her - this past term was hard, as she had to have emergency back surgery 3 1/2 weeks into the semester, because she had four tumors on her spine from the genetic condition that she has, (it was the removal of the tumors, not the tumors themselves, that caused the deaf blindness at the age of almost 18), which threw her out of classes and away from her schedule - she went on medical leave from classes because of it.

There are times when she does feel like she's going down, but she is crazy strong. She's determined to become a teacher.

Yeah, but pretty steady for three years (now that I think about it). And living in the deaf dorm, and having a deaf roommate really helps too. Just complete immersion into the culture.

Do you know if the doctors nicked a nerve or something?
How did the surgery cause it?

YAY. KEY SPEAKING ENGLISH. You know me so well. EYK is fun, but I haven't seen it in a while. Sometimes the jokes ruin a song for me. In a… good-ish way.

GET YOUR CRAYON.

Oh, dude. My oldest sister used to sing that BoA song ALL THE TIME.

That's not a fail, Nemo. It's just what the pros do. When we have our trips, they're by car, so I know we'll take all day to actually leave and am in no rush. LOL.

PiM! - what do you mean? She has a condition that the removal of the rumors usually ends up with the person deaf-blind. It isn't anything to do with them not doing something right. It's the genetic condition that she was born with.

Amane: I was under a deadline as I flew back down here so not packing till the last minute means I usually forget something. I forgot my roommate's Christmas present. Mom is Mailing it down. :) it isn't too big. Thankfully.

Nope, it's her condition. This is what she has - linked it, as it can explain it better than I can. As I only get it enough to barely understand it, but can't explain it well enough to have it make sense to someone else.

You're welcome. :] Better to let the people who totally get it explain it than me, who'd probably get things wrong and end up confusing myself, and y'all in the process.
