A questie? But that's basically my CI list, and going through the stores would be a ton of work. Wait, I don't even have those lists on this computer.

It was good, or as good as a crappy school can make my day. Also trying to decide how much fabric I need to make my blankets for friends. ^w^ would you like one hummy? I am trying to get back into sewing so i am making blankets. I will buy material next time i get money.

Believe me, I am XD Especially because I had to shovel earlier.

Being home alone is so great.

Aw thank you Liz!!! I really really appreciate it! I love my students and I love my kids and really want to give them as many opportunities to play instruments and perform as they can!

I should! That would be awesome! I have different colored chalks...but they get all over me :P I have green hand prints and blue hand prints on my pants a lot XD

that's a super cute idea! And it keeps them invested in the project as well!

Maria-Minamino: I wish you all the best with your project. I read the description and it's really sweet what you're doing. It's amazing that you're taking it into your own hands to get ahold of supplies for your class.
I'd take part but I think you have to be a U.S citizen. :<

and you can have one on a poster so you can draw on it
or have some of your artistic kids do it as well
then you can post that on your completed project page!

Thank you so much! Even just the thought and the support is really great! It's sad when all the funding goes to things like sports. Music needs support too!!! My county has proposed budget cuts for next year that would cut an extra 15% to all finearts teachers (and last on the list of cuts is the cut of all music ed in elementary schools...that probably won't pass since it's like number 60 lol). But I want to show support for the music program and my kids!! They need to know music is important!

the sad thing is that sports bring in dollars
and most concerts/plays really don't
so it's always the things that get cut
it's not the right thing, just easiest
keep doing what you're doing
keep music alive for your kids

Schools are always so terribly sports driven. I understand it's pride but there are other areas of the school that can display pride, like music. Not everyone can play sports so what else are they going to do? Music in children is absolutely key, it teaches them so many skills that will stay with them forever. Arts really lose out in funding when they are so important and it pisses me off

I will definitely try! I can't imagine doing anything else but teach music for the rest of my life! I just love to give the gift of music to my students :)

They also put on the list to cut all art from elementary and half of the library positions as well from elementary. It just really shows priorities right now unfortunately :( They are proposing a half-cent tax increase for the county so that we don't have to cut anything - but it's really unfortunate the way they are promoting it. The public is seeing it as blackmail so everyone is against it which sucks for the schools

that sucks. to lose the arts and books to read we lose some great minds because they dont get fed.
