If I've never heard of it, I can't say it exists. Tell me ANYWHERE is hot, and I'll be like, "Ugh, humidity," because I've never heard of heat NOT bringing some degree of humidity with it. I know nothing about California but heat and earthquakes, so I don't talk about it besides that.

No reason to get yourself all worked up about something small like that which can be easily corrected. Lots of people don't understand how weather works very well. And you have to admit, outside of California, the most anyone really ever sees is how it's portrayed on TV or movies...which is almost exclusively Southern California.
