I have never had a problem with my characters not being what they should be as I just think of them from the point I start them at and then they fill in their history later.

I've got strawberry blonde natural hair. And I love it. :) It's got a natural wave to it. :) Sometimes super curly but that's rare.

I think that most of us that dye our hair have common colors and just want something that makes us different in our area. Black is not as common as brown here in my area. although the unnatural are more common here then I have seen in other citys.

I think we have to many Changlings here in Portland.

I tried that, Lunna! I did! Why, I tried to skip the history. That's why I'm getting plotholes now. The characters' situations don't always justify their actions.
Now that I ask them about their lives, it turns out awful things have happened to them to make them who they are. I'm very good to my characters, but before they come to me, they saw a rough time.

If not an unnatural color, I'd keep my natural black. =w=

My brother was born blonde and when he hit puberty his hair turned really really really dark brown. But if he lets it grow, he gets natural blonde highlights and his hair isn't as dark but when it's short it's super dark.

Somebody told me they get highlights or something when they tan…

I have had many of my characters come to me wounded. I have one that I am just starting working on who was in the Space Navy of an unnamed system who is now suffering from her postatices being out of date and needing work but she has no money for it as they cut her half pay when she got into a bar fight and killed a Navy guy.

OH WOW Ravensdance I would love to have that color.

@Lunna: Ouch, that's a lot. The worst one of my characters has told me was a complicated story involving being ostracized and love gone wrong several times.
