I need to find some basil soon, so I can make more, I'm running low here - I make it in big batches, and then freeze it. And I'm down to only a few jars left. O.o Need more!
Oh noes! Must not run out of pesto!!!

Granted, this guy was also a jerk >_>

As far as I know, I'm not a jerk.
Ooof, that's pretty dastardly. Hopefully she's nice to you.

If it's prepped properly, Vegetarian food can be AMAZING!
(I'm normally a Vegetarian, this pregnancy ... well let's just say I've been craving Steaks and throwing my family off, as it's totally not how I usually eat. )

Ah. Fruits really add a lot to those dishes. So amazing. I'm hesitant about tofu because I've developed an allergy to some soy products (soy milk, most protein bars, and reduced fat peanut butter all majorly affect me). I love tofu, but I haven't tried it since I developed the food allergy.
Maybe it's what they use on the plants(herbicides and insecticides). You might under doctor's supervision try organic soy.

I love vegetarian food. Amazing how growing another human can just totally confuse your body.

It's unlikely, since none of the things I've tried have the same sources and a few of them were organic anyway. Soy allergies are weird because soy has somewhere around 40 different proteins, each of which can be an allergen in their own right. So allergies depend on the processing. Soy sauce is perfectly fine (because it has none of the proteins left), edamame is totally not okay (because it's just the soy bean and all of the proteins are present). So each soy product is a new adventure for me. It's just that in order to try them I have to be prepared to be miserable if it goes badly. I develop new allergies every few years or so. Usually they're environmental allergies not food, but it's nothing unusual to develop an allergy later in life.

Haha, for sure! I wish I had gotten a picture of my husband's face when I asked him to buy steaks and make sure to get enough for me - as usually when he gets steak it's only enough for him. He was like "Wait, what?!"

But I plan on going back to no meat once Sophia is born. :]

Okay. I don't have allergies food wise but I do have a slight case of asthma due to my aunt damaging my sternum.

Mum was confused as well.

Not with Rebecca but with Benji sort of, not really like this. It was only every so often I'd crave things like chicken tacos or hamburgers. But this time around, it really threw me for a loop, but ignoring the cravings do make them worse, most of the time, for me at least.

I was craving Mac and Cheese the other night, thing is though I'm lactose intolerant and I hate the lactose free cheeses. :/

How'd your aunt manage that? o_O

Yeah, food allergies are so incredibly varied. How did your aunt damage your sternum?!

Yeah, I've heard that it's better to give in to pregnancy cravings in small amounts unless they're for something that will harm you (like the women who get pica during pregnancy and crave soil or hair).

Citrus: His name is Benjamin, but we all call him Benji - his father's (daddy and papa) weren't totally set on it at first, but it's caught on. :]

Magghia: Yeah, I've heard that as well. For me, it depends on how hungry I am honestly, and what it is, and all of that. Some are worse than others, for me.

I have learned that with food cravings, there are only two solutions for me that are healthy. 1) Tell myself I'll get some tomorrow and hope the craving is gone by then or 2) have just a little bit of that thing so I don't go grazing through the entire house trying to fill the void.

Did you know that cats have been reported having pica issues? There are a few that eat wood furniture and plastic items. Does yours get worse with stress?

Nah. It only happens when I see/think of something I get cravings for.

I've tried that - it works sometimes. Other times it doesn't.

Oops! I'll bet she feels pretty terrible about that.

I'm working on my homework while chatting. I'm so unmotivated right now.
