Aw that sounds like fun, apart from the walking fast part. You're meant to take everything in at a zoo! But that sucks there were a bunch of hills. How did your knee hold out, is it better from the other day?

It's all good. It was good for me to walk. Even with the three hours there, there was a section we didn't get too. But I was just too tired to walk anymore. It really is quite a big zoo. Other than some blisters on my feet and some sore legs, I'm pretty good.

Ahh that's good. Did it go down quickly? Aw that's a bummer, what section was that? I hope you got done everything you really wanted to see. Blergh, blisters, they are the worst!

Eh, just the great apes, the elephants, and the big cats. I like the big cats and the elephants, but I was happy that I got to see the wild dog section. Because African Painted dogs are some of my FAVORITE animals.

I never heard of the Painted dogs.

Yeah, they're not at all like hyenas. These guys are hunters not scavengers. Also, hyenas are considered "cat like" carnivores and are related to mongooses and civets. And to be honest, I only the the striped hyena and aardwolf are pretty, though I have infinite respect for female spotted hyenas, because they are freaking warriors for surviving giving birth.

Here in Australia we apparently don't give a crap about any animals apart from ones that are native to here.

I would think that you would want to keep your native animals more then your imports.

Imports tend to end badly
