Jax looked up, then rolled his eyes a bit when he looked away. "I can handle the heat." He muttered, though he didn't believe it. He burned so easily, staying out in the direct sunlight for more than a few minutes pinking his skin to painful levels. Then it began peeling away from his body in sheets and making him feel disgusting. "The cold is harder to deal with." He added after a moment, shuddering under Dantel's touch. "It bites into the bones and steals your skin and limbs... I don't know how I know this... But I do." He let out a shaky breath and looked up toward Dantel.

"There are creams that might help you handle it much better, you know." Though the request for such things might seem odd, it could be easily be explained as a new odd quirk. Or the first of many ... Dantel shrugged and shifted his fingers a little. "You are far more likely to know about snow then me. I have to admit, it doesn't sound pleasant." It was downright frightening. A wasteland of white, of cold unimaginable and of ice. That was far worse to contemplate then the stark beauty of the desert. A sparse land it was, to be sure, but there was hidden beauty if only you had the mind to look.

"Not pleasant..." Jax closed his eyes. "I... yes... it is..." He sighed. "There is little unless you look. Hard. But there are the frozen forests. The caverns. The ice lakes. The cold rivers. The furry beasts. The beauty must be searched for." He couldn't quite open his eyes. "How do I know this...? How..." He shook his head, backing away from Dantel. "Can't... I have to... to sleep..." He crawled under the bed---it was cool, and he was glad for that and the dark. "Let me stay here for the night... I'll give my more uniform sleeping arrangement... later." He didn't have much more energy. The shock, fear, horror, pain, and confusion that had accumulated throughout the night had finally compiled against him and was dragging him down. When he closed his eyes, he fell immediately.
