Elisa didn't make it out of her temple until a little after her normal dinner time, yawning and stretching as she emerged and went to go find the others.

Clara was sitting by a small stream, her dangling her feet in the running water. She looked up when she heard Elisa.

"Did you find anything out?" she asked.

"People are getting restless," Elisa said quietly, sitting next to her. "The gods are going to send a few people outside to investigate and see if it's safe out there."

"Do we know who they're sending?" Clara asked. She didn't ask why they were sending people; it was obvious that nobody would settle down again until they had answers.

"Not yet. They're taking volunteers and they'll make a group from whoever volunteers." Elisa was quiet for a moment. "I'm thinking about volunteering."

"Really?" Clara asked. It wasn't as absurd a thought as it first seemed, and she found herself seriously considering it.

"Yeah. I mean, I feel like I would be okay. I doubt it will be easy, but I think I'd be okay." Elisa shrugged. "Besides, it is simply a consideration at the moment."

Clara nodded, still considering the idea of going outside of the dome. She had no idea what was out there, and she was kind of interested in seeing it herself.

"Maybe I should volunteer, too," she mused.

Elisa nodded. "Think about it, I think we've got a few days before they select anyone."

Clara nodded.

"I want to see the outside," she said. "I want to know why the rain is different."

Elisa nodded. "Go talk to your god when you get a chance, I know all volunteers are encouraged to talk to their god about it first."

"I will," Clara said, nodding. "This is definitely not something to go about on my own."

Elisa nodded. "I dunno about you but I'm decently hungry now. Dinner?"

"Sure," Clara said, nodding. Getting up, she shook the water off of her feet and headed after her friend.

Elisa spotted the group almost immediately and headed over to join them, plopping herself next to Clint and across from Tony and Bruce. Natasha was on Clint's other side.

"You talked to anyone else yet?" she asked Clint.

"I was just telling everyone what we found out," Clint replied without missing a beat. He tilted his head towards Tony. "He says he's going to volunteer."

"That doesn't surprise me at all." Elisa shook her head at that. "I'm thinking of volunteering too."

"Same," Clara said.

"I kind of want to see what's out there," Clint agreed. "Maybe we should all go together, if we're allowed."

"That would work." Elisa smiled a bit. "We'll have to talk to our gods about it, I know I need to go see mine anyway."

"Yeah, so do I," Clara said.

"I've already gone," Clint said. "I know it's okay for me to go."

Elisa nodded. "Well, I think we'll find out in a few days the final results."

Tony nodded, already thinking over the pros and cons that the gods might come up with for their little group.

Clint and Clara both nodded, and Clara grabbed a bit of food off the table to nibble on. Clint just tore up a bit of bread and started feeding some to the mice that had gathered.

The rest of dinner passed quietly, and Elisa walked back with Clint, walking quietly and playing with some of the seeds she always carried on her.

"You okay?" Clint asked. It was strange that she was so quiet; she usually at least chatted a bit.

"Yeah. I'm just a bit worried, I guess. I'm not used to unrest like this, and I do want to go explore, but..." She trailed off. "It's silly, I know."
