Fitz wasn't exactly conscious enough to understand what was happening but was glad when the cold got warmer and snuggled into it more.

Jufrey swung the doors open as she entered the Prince's chambers. She did not intend for it look so dramatic but she did not regret it either. She quickly looked around the room, trying to locate the prince and raised an eyebrow when she someone she didn't know holding him. "I hope you're not the one that poisoned him." She said as she approached the men.

slowly coming out of the spell when someone entered into the room Faelann looked the lady over as she approached him. "no I am not the one that poisoned him," his voice was slightly slurred with the drain of the magic on him. "I have been trying to keep him alive, I am Prince Faelann." slowly he started drawing the magic that was holding the poison from moving. "he started fading about fifteen minutes ago, and it happened really quick." slowly trying to recall the order of systems he shook his head.

"he complained of a headache first and then started stumbling. I picked him up and carried him here where he started shivering, and he seems to have passed out." slowly he lifted up Fitz to move him onto the couch where she could look him over without his magic affecting hers. "I can remove the warm spell on him but that is all he has now." sighing he finely got a good look at her.

"who are you again?" she could tell that he was starting to suffer from over use of his talent. if he was not careful he was going to suffer mage burn.

Jufrey nodded as he listed the symptoms and she fussed over the prince. She had a round face despite her sharp personality, and the rest of her was a little round as well. He hair fell in short, natural ringlets around her face and bobbed as she shook her head clicking her tongue. "Please call me Madame Jufrey, I'm the head healer around here, one of the only actually. And you can stop with that magic I don't want to have to deal with you too." She snapped. And waited for him to stop. "I know exactly what this is. And it ain't pretty."

Calling a stop to the last spell he had going Faelann sighed. he could feel the drain on him and knew that he was going to fall asleep as soon as he hit the bed. "what is it? I have never encountered it before." He was interested in what would cause these reactions and so quickly. "What should one do when one encounters someone poisoned with this?" he waved his hand in Fitz's direction.

he like her no nonsense reaction to what was going on. maybe this would save Fitz, maybe it would not. but she was there and had seen all that Faelann had done to try to save him.

"It's a poison unique to Ellestine and is very hard to come by. The best part of using it is they usually die from it before they can get help. The worst part is," She placed her hands over Fitz' head and stomach, and her hands started to glow a pastel green as she used her magic. "The worst part of using this is if you get them to healer who knows what they're doing in time it's easy to get rid of." She started moving her slowly toward the prince's mouth, and something was following them and it moved in the form of a visible lump under his skin. Fits grunted in pain but otherwise didn't move. "Its a sneaky poison. It stays in your bloodstream for a while, spreading itself before it decides to attack. After 20 minutes of the first visible symptom its say good bye to the victim." Sweat started to drip down her forehead as she concentrated on her work. Both hands were almost at his mouth and he started to gag a little as a gurgling sound could be heard.

"if it would not take up to much of your time, would you mind teaching my sister about the poisons of your country and their cures?" He sighed feeling the draw of sleep pulling him down as he fought it. "she can teach you the same of our country's poisons, I think that it might be wise for us even if the war starts again." Sitting there he watched as she cleaned the poison from his system. it was a good thing that he had do what he did and not trusted the Prince when he said it was just a head ache. His heard seemed to skip a beat at the thought of losing Fitz so soon after finding him. as Fitz started to gag he gently covered Fitz with a sheet of fabric to catch anything that might come from her magic. He did not know how much of a fashion horse but if it was Faelann he would have been upset about the lose of such a nice outfit.

Standing he caught himself before falling back into the couch. "if you would happen to have some rose hip tea I would appersheate some being sent to my room in an hour or so." He said softly to the healer as he took a few steps towards the door. He became more stable as he walked to the door.

"If I'm not busy and she comes to see me I'll see what I can do." Said absently as she coerced the poison out of Fitz. It came out of his mouth like a ball of of purple water. She clicked her tongue again and walked over to the fire, poison still hovering in the air, and tossed it into the fire. The flames hissed and spat and turned an ugly shade of green before calming down into a soft glow. She turned her attention back to Prince Fitz. "He's going to need to sleep it off." She said to no one in particular and set about placing him on the bed in a more comfier position.

"I'll see what I can do for you." She agreed as she checked over the prince once more.

When Faelann was gone she frowned. "There's only one person that could get that poison and that worries me my lord." She muttered to herself before setting a chair up next to the bed. He'd have to be watched for the next few hours and she was the only one fit to do it.

"Well I hope that she can find you when your unbusy." he said as he watched the poison come out of Prince Fitz. A part of him tried to shrink from the evilness of the mixture while another wanted to know what made it and how it worked. As she tossed it into the fire Faelann held up his hand to hold back bile at the thought of what that had done and what it could do. "I am in your debt, take care of him well." He stopped in the door. "was it you that put the protecting and locking spell on his rooms?" He looked over his shoulder at her wondering if she was the talented one. If so she was going to be one to keep his eye on, weather because she could kill them and because she could aid them if she could be trusted.

He had only just entered the hall when He gasped with pain as his sister yelled in his head. <WHAT IS GOING ON?!?! WHAT HAPPENED???> Reaching out mentally he tried to sooth her. Some how she had been woken up to find him drawing on her magic to walk down the hall.

<I am fine sister mine, our host the prince was not but is now on the mend.> With that he slowly limped over to his door and walked in as he explained what had happened to Fitz. seconds lager he could hear her scrambling in her rooms. <his Healer is there with him, I saw her work.>

Racing around her room Yalann tried to think of the many things that she might be able to do to help the healer with carrying for the prince. she would have loved to have seen this poison in the body before it had been driven from his body but she would rather have him alive then have the chance to see it because he was dead. She picked up and then put down different bottles of teas that she had mixed up herself before the journey thinking that they might help him feel better.

After the third time repacking her bag she stood there in the middle of the room her fingers to her lips trying to clam the worry that filled her with dread. This is not one of the poison's we have on our side of the border, which means that it was given to him when he was in his fathers keep. Was this all a shame to add the offense to her family's name of killing a crown prince? was someone on his side trying to start the war again?

Finely making up her mind she left the bag and hurried over to the princes quarters. knocking on the half open door she poked her head in. "Hello I am Princesses Yalann and I was taught healing magics and potions. Is there anything I might be able to do to aide in his recovery?"

Jufrey looked at the girl accusingly as she entered, but nodded as she introduced herself. So she was the lovely bride to be huh. "Everything that's been done has been done so there's no reason to worry my lady. You've wasted your time coming here. Did you doubt me that much? Don't think the healers here are any good?" Nothing offended Jufrey more than someone doubting her or undermining her. She knew she was one of the best healers out and that good for nothing king knew it too, yet he still stuck her out here where she could hardly help anyone.

Yalann raised her eyebrow as watched the Healers reaction. She had not expected that the healer would think that she thought she could not do her job. "No lady, I came to help. I never thought that you would not be up to saving him, in fact I had thought that you would want to have some one that could get you what you needed." Stepping into the room she held out her hands as if to show she had nothing to hide. "I know that a healer could use all the hands that she can command and ones that know more about the healing arts is more helpful to her." She smiled. "I could fetch you tea or something for him?"

Jufrey chewed over what the princess said thoughtfully. "There's nothing you can do for him for the moment, not until he wakes up that is." She clasped her hands together and rested them on her lap. "And the servants do well with the tea-fetching." The princess looked eager to help, so Jufrey rolled her eyes and gave out a defeated sigh. "If you really want you can stay here and talk with me to keep me up." Not that I actually need you to keep me up I'm quite good at doing that myself.

"I know that tea fetching is servants work, yet it is at times like this I have to be of helping some how." Slowly walking in to the room she found a chair near the healer. "how long have you known the prince?"

"Since he was a teenage brat. So really not that long ago. He's still a brat." Jufrey huffed. She hadn't really gotten to know the prince, just healed him every now and again but that was enough to get a lot of his stuck up attitude. She hadn't seen him in a while so maybe he had grown out of it. Hopefully. Fitz murmered something in his sleep and rolled over, the movement caught Jufrey's attention for a second, until she could make sure nothing was happening to him again.

"Even if it was only a little while ago you know more about him then I do. I am wanting to know everything I can learn about him," she looked up at him on his bed and wondered what was going to happen when he got better. "also I would love to learn all you can teach me about your healing arts. if you want I can show you what I know of our healing arts as well." A small part of her worried about what was going to happen when the poisoner was found. Would it be some one from her home hiding that it was he did it by using a poison from Fitz homeland.

"He's really not that interesting you know." Jufrey pointed out. "If you wanted some one decent to learn about I'd say learn about his brother." She nodded to herself. "Though he's not exactly someone you want to actually know, but he's definitely worth knowing about. Maybe at a later date I'll teach you. Sorry to be sore but it depends how likely we are to go back into that war. The king would have my head if he learnt I'd passed trade secrets to an enemy." She said with a neutral face. She herself didn't have anything against teaching an eager soul, but the king would never accept it if that eager soul happened to come from Mavorie.

"My thoughts dear lady is that I could trade you poisons and their cures that I know are found in my kingdom for the same number of poisons and their cures found in your kingdom. I do not think that any king could find a problem with that if you got out just as vital information as you gave and other then this poison." she waved at the prince. "I don't know which ones you have and how deadly they are so you could keep out a few of them if you like. I on the other hand would not want your people to suffer the poisons I have seen on my side and will happily teach you what I know, even if this only brakes back out into war." Smiling broadly in open truthfulness she went on."There is an oath that healers take in my kingdom that says 'above all else do no harm.' I feel that by holding back the cures I would be doing harm, now that I have a chance to give the cures to you." Reaching into her small hand bag she pulled out a small booklet. "This is only the first of many that I plan to pen so that you may know what is on our side." she held it out as if it were the holy grail.

Jufrey chewed on the inside of her cheek as she weighed the princess's arguments. One side there was saving people and getting one back at the king, but on the other side that meant if the king found out she could die. If it wasn't obvious, he wasn't exactly the kind and forgiving type. Jufrey stared at the book and in silent resignation held out her hand for it. "When I get around for it I'll write you a few out as well, unless you want to fetch me paper and a pen now."

smiling Yalann stood and bowed. "I would be happy to fetch you the supply's that you need." With that she turned and walked from the room. when she had first told her father what she planed to do he had thought her a silly young girl that did not know anything about the real world out there. what he did not realize was that she had fought along side his men and led them to victory's that he had praised her brother for. It was because of her he had not lost a general who should have died on the battle field.

grabbing a small blank book the same size as the one she had given to Jufrey she smiled. Now even if they did not get the marriage she would come home with something just as important for the healers as what her brother would learn and bring back for his father. quickly she hurried back with book and pen in hand. "here you go lady."

"Please call me Madame Jufrey dear." She spoke as she was leafing through the book the princess had given her. It certainly did contain information that would help there side, include the symptoms of each poison and how to ease them along side getting rid of the poison. Jufrey didn't doubt that these weren't the strongest poisons Mavorie had to offer though, but they should make life a lot easier when the war decided to resume. Putting the book down, she accept the items that the princess had brought to her and exhaled audibly as she decided what to write.

"I belive that you should be a lady no just a madame. Any lady like you should be called lady. I dont care what they say." she watched as Jufrey flipped through book wounding if she would do just as good a job as she had done. she did not want to lose any more soldiers to poison then they had already. Yalann hoped that she would also fill out as much information as she did. "I would love to have the information of the poison that has hit the prince if not anything else."

Jufrey smirked. "Thanks for the thought love but Madame suits me well. When you get called a Lady you have to act a certain way, I don't think I'm ready to commit to that." She sent a wink to the princess and took a moment to decide if she would tell the empire of Mavorie about the poison. "Well, I guess because your brother already saw it I can't do anything about hiding all of it." She chewed her cheek again as she started writing on the first page. She wrote the name of the poison, 'Tellenthyme' as well as how to get rid of it. You had to use healing magic to force it back the way it came. Very uncomfortable for the patient, but they wouldn't really bother about it because 1) it was saving their lives and 2) they were probably already too out of it to care. She didn't write down the symptoms though, the brother had already seen it and if he wasn't paying attention than Mavorie just lost its chance to get a good defence against Ellestine's more stronger poisons. Jufrey doubted they would encounter it much anyway. It was incredibly rare, and difficult to handle. No common poison in any way of form.

"well then Madam Jufrey, how do you think the prince encountered the poison?" should she tell the lady that she had been with him since the moment that they arrived at the places. Or should she keep it quite and hope that Jufrey did not think that they might have had something to do with it. "how quickly dose this poison act in the body. Is it like Black Gill that takes weeks to react with the body?" Black Gill was a plant that grew in the swamps of Mavorie that when injected into the subject it sit dormant for over half a year before blossoming into its flower. the flower would rip through the body in a matter of days if not given the counter agent. The counter agent was a common weak poison that induced vomiting usually. some mothers kept a bottle of it on hand just in case their child age something they should not have.

Jufrey eyed the princess as she continued to scribble down her notes on some select Ellestine poisons. "Not by you Mavorie folk if that's what you're thinking I'm thinking. No way your people would get a hold of this stuff." It was a certain someone's own special poison. Only a limited few actually knew about it, which was what made it deadly. "Tellenthyme doesn't have a set reaction time. Its not been used enough to actually get solid results. From who it's been used on, the time varies." Jufrey's theory was that the more you moved once you ingested it, the faster it acted, would explain why the prince wasn't affected until after his carriage ride.

"so you think its one of your own?" Yalann sounded sad and worried. "who would want to kill your prince, he seems like such a nice man. I could understand if he was like my brother but he is not." walking over to Fitz she looked down at him wishing that he would wake up soon. was the feeling she had felt earlier been her brothers and not hers? "what do you people think of men sleeping with men?" she whispered.

"It's because he's nice that he's useless." She said matter-of-factly. "There are plenty of people who would love his brother to lead them into war again. Idiots, the lot of them. Poor old Prince Fits is just too much like his mother. Who can blame him though." The scratch of on paper softened as Jufrey strained to hear what she was saying. "Your brother take a fancy to one of the guards?" Jufrey replied numbly, equally as soft. She tried to focus on her writing.
