Ivy shook her head a bit. "Fights are not my thing, but I'm pretty sure you being thrown through a wall and landing on my table counts as exciting." She quirked an eyebrow at him.

"Well, if you put it that way," Logan said. He grinned a bit. "Was the rest of the evening okay?"

"The rest of the evening was fine... except that we never got our food." Ivy grinned. "At this point I think we'd have better luck with me cooking than getting a seat in another place. I mean, if you want to come back to my place for a little while." She was well aware she was kind of skipping ahead a few dates but after the fight, she figured that was okay.

Logan blinked at that.

"Sure," he said, "'s long as yer comfortable with it."

"It's fine with me. It'll take a little while, but at least it'll be food." Ivy smiled a bit. But she did send a quick text off to alert Kate.

Logan nodded.

"Sounds good," he said. He gestured towards the car.

Ivy nodded and slid into his car again, settling in. She couldn't help but laugh a but when she noticed dust and things on both of them.

"We look like we've been cleaning up wreckage," she said, biting her lip to keep from giggling too much.

Logan snorted.

"No kiddin'," he said. "Coulda been worse, though."

"True. But I don't think I've ever had a first date go quite like that before." Ivy shot him a teasing grin.

Logan grinned as well.

"Me either," he said. "Though to be honest, I can't say I dated much until now."

Ivy grinned. "Firsts for both of us, then," she said. "Not a bad thing."

Logan grinned and put the car into drive.

"Where to?"

"Back to my house. I'll make us some dinner so at least you don't have to go home hungry." Ivy settled back into the seat.

"You got it," Logan said, heading back in the direction of her house.

Meanwhile, Kate was making herself scarce. She'd made her way out to the little coffee shop, and was settling there for the moment with a book and a hot chocolate.

Ivy was a bit surprised that Kate had actually left the house, but she didn't question it for the moment. Instead she just let Logan drive, already thinking over what she had in the fridge.

Steve had gone for a walk that evening, since he needed some room. He spotted the coffee shop and decided to stop in to get some pie.

Logan parked his car on the street so that he wouldn't block in any other cats in the driveway.

"Here we are," he said, turning off the engine.

Kate didn't glance up from her book, already absorbed in it. She took occasional sips of her hot chocolate, albeit distracted ones.

"My house mate is trying to be nice and give us some room," Ivy said as she got out, fishing her keys out of her purse.

Steve settled at a different table with some coffee and pie. He figured she was absorbed in her book, and he usually sat by himself anyway.

"Considerate of her," Logan said as he waited for her to open the door. "Good for us, though, means dinner is still just us."

Kate ended up putting her book down for a moment, snickering and blushing slightly. She took the opportunity to stretch and look around, and paused when she saw Steve. Her wings fluttered a bit when she saw him.

"Yeah, which is nice," Ivy agreed, letting him in and heading for the kitchen. "Hope you don't mind if I keep things simpler tonight."

Steve was bent over a sketch pad, coffee temporarily forgotten as he worked on his drawing.

"Fine with me," Logan said as he looked around. "Nice place."

Kate grinned a bit at that. She hadn't known he liked to draw. Pulling out her phone, she texted him quickly, so that she didn't have to go over an interrupt him.

What're you working on?

"Thanks." Ivy set her bag down and stretched briefly. "Go ahead and make yourself comfortable."

Just a drawing, just for fun, Steve texted back. How about you? You looked pretty absorbed in that book earlier.

"Thanks," Logan said. He followed her into the kitchen and pulled over a chair to sit down.

Trashy romances are always fun to read. Kate grinned and watched for his reaction to that.

Ivy took her time cooking, clearly comfortable in her kitchen. She was indeed slapdash, but she wasn't messy.

Trashy romances? Really? Steve made a bit of a face at that, but he was snickering.

"Smells good," Logan commented after a little while of watching her cook.

Kate grinned.

I do read trashy romances. This isn't one of them, though, this is an epic fantasy. It's just a really good one.

"Thanks." Ivy smiled a bit. "It's almost done."

Fantasy is much better. What's it called? Because Steve did sometimes read fantasy novels.
