Ivy nodded and headed out the door, grabbing her purse as she did. She figured she'd let Kate drive them to the mall, and then she'd see if she saw anything she liked.

Kate grabbed her keys and her purse and headed out to the car.

"I would say we're getting you at least one dress, but you'd never wear it," she commented teasingly.

Ivy snorted. "I wear dresses once in a while," she said, grinning. "But I'm more likely to wear skirts."

Kate grinned.

"So if I go and put together an adorable outfit that pairs nicely with your feathers and part of it is a skirt, you'll wear it?" she asked slyly.

"It has a higher probability of success," Ivy said, her voice lofty. But she grinned, ruining the effect.

Kate laughed.

"Done," she said. "I'm going to put together an outfit that will look amazing on you and you will at least try it on."

"I'll try it on," Ivy agreed with a little grin. Because sometimes she still liked dressing up, a little bit. Not often, but once in a while.

"Awesome," Kate said, grinning. Once they pulled into the mall parking lot, she got out and stretched her wings briefly before putting her bag over her shoulder. "I should look for an outfit, too. I have a date in a couple days."

Ivy grinned. "Excellent. We can both get date clothes." She tucked her arm through Kate's, starting to browse.

"Great," Kate said. It didn't take her long to spot a cute skirt, and she briefly let go of Ivy to buzz around the department to create an outfit around it. She presented it to Ivy. "What do you think?"

Ivy looked at it for a moment before she shook her head. "It's a bit little for a first date. Second, maybe, but it needs a bit more for a first date."

"Just try it on," Kate said. "Save it for a later date if you need to, but for now I want to see it on."

Ivy nodded and went to go try it on. It was shorter than she liked for a first date, but it was cute.

"It is cute, I like it."

"Awesome," Kate said, grinning. "Second date, you're getting it. We can find you something a bit more conservative for the first date."

"Sounds good." Ivy kept looking, browsing through the skirts she could find. She blinked at a skirt that was ankle-length, all blues and greens swirled together. "Find something to go with this and I'll wear it."

Kate grinned and practically dove into the shirt area, digging around. She emerged with a navy blouse held up triumphantly. The blouse was trimmed in silver on the hems, with silver buttons on the back where it was slit to make room for wings.

Ivy grinned and nodded. "Perfect," she agreed. "I'll go try it on." She held her hand out for the shirt.

Kate passed it over and waited for Ivy to come back out of the fitting room.

Ivy changed quickly and then came out so Kate could examine her. She thought the outfit was perfect, but that was just her.

"Ooh I like it," Kate said, grinning when Ivy came back out. "Very pretty, I like it a lot."

"Excellent," Ivy said with a grin. "First date outfit." She went to go change again so she could buy her new outfits.

"Awesome," Kate replied. "Now I just need to find a nice outfit for me."

Ivy nodded. "Well, what color palette are you looking at this time?" Because Kate used some very different colors.

"I was thinking some olive green," Kate said. "To offset my feathers. Maybe some teal or turquoise."

"Dress or skirt and shirt? Or other?" Ivy started browsing through shirts to start.
